It will probably work fairly similar to normal but might just have a few cameras less. Chuck it through either a mixer or a program that does vision mixing and it should in theory look semi ok. Won’t be the broadcast standard of DR1 etc but probably on par with the FA playerGuest wrote: ↑14 Feb 2022, 18:19Apparently no vpn needed to watch Denmark's Algarve games since they're not going to be televised... Won't say no to a Pernille goals highlights Chelsea should do this for her goals in all competitions

Da Pernille isn't starting so no worries you'll miss close ups on her until she comes off the bench (if she's subbed in) if you don't have a VPN - you need one...Guest wrote: ↑15 Feb 2022, 16:02It will probably work fairly similar to normal but might just have a few cameras less. Re: Swedish Soccer Ladies
Oh damn. Hope she'll feel better on friday when we meet Denmark. No Hardersson derby but it'd be great to see her up against Glas, Jonna, Frido and Blacke with the pressure play from Pernille and Sweden in mind. I'd also love for Benni in particular to meet Pernille with a better team than Everton and when the playing field is more levelled.
Now watch how Sweden play Denmark but neither Magda or Pernille is on the pitch

First Magda wasn't available for Algarve and a new Hardersson derby went out the window. Then Pernille caught a cold and it was uncertain if she could play against Sweden. Now neither Denmark or Sweden will be on the pitch... What an anti-climax.
Hope the Danish players who tested positive get well soon.
Re: Swedish Soccer Ladies
Yeah an anticlimax for sure. My first thought was that P might be one of the infected as she had a cold. But the only thing we know for sure is that the coach is one of the four.Guest wrote: ↑17 Feb 2022, 22:12https://www.svt.se/sport/fotboll/sverig ... ovidsmittaGuest wrote: ↑16 Feb 2022, 13:05Oh damn. Re: Swedish Soccer Ladies
I know. That was my first thought too but going from the chilly weather in England to the warmth in Portugal, well it's easy to get a cold then. It's obviously testing carried out. Pernille trained with the team and even took the gameday morning walk plus was in the stands for the game. She had a cold after she was tested negative. If she'd tested positive she'd been isolated just like the coach on gameday and she wasn't.Guest wrote: ↑17 Feb 2022, 22:57Yeah an anticlimax for sure. Given that she wasn't isolated, I don't think we should take her cold as a definite sign she's one of the infected players from the cold alone. And the other three cases beside the coach could be staff members and no players for all we know. As you said we only know for sure about the coach.

Re: Swedish Soccer Ladies
First half was a bit of a joke. Kaneryd created some good opportunities, but no one seemed that interested in doing anything with them. There were times swe for sure should have scored, but didn't. Second half was obviously better and they dominated the other team. The subs made a big difference in the overall play. All in all, it felt obvious that the B-team was playing the first half and that there's still a big difference between the A-team and the B-team. When sweden has their top players on the field at the same time it's almost impossible to beat them.Guest wrote: ↑21 Feb 2022, 00:27How did you guys think Sweden did against Portugal?

Re: Swedish Soccer Ladies
NENT presented the studio team that will work with Damallsvenskan. Earlier today they held a press conference, can be watched here (starts about 23 min in). They said among other things they'll be able to follow the league at a very close range and hopefully will be get the chance to tell untold stories, since Damallsvenskan is league where you can follow the players and the profiles a little bit closer. They showed some trailers: Tabby Tindell in Kristianstad (in English, starts about 30 min in), Clara Markstedt (Hannah Wilkinson's ex) in Vittsjö and Caroline Seger in Rosengård,
All 182 league games will be live broadcasted on Viaplay and around 40 will be televised on TV6. On Friday's there'll be a studio and on Monday's, which will be the main day, there'll be a studio followed by a weekly magazine. Then it'll start at 18:30 and end at 22:00. For TV6 that means game of the round and the magazine.
Two of Viasat's experts Johanna Frisk (former player who has played for Umeå plus Tyresö and is rumoured to be Marta's ex) and Petronella Ekroth were attending the press conference studio. They agreed on which the top teams will be this season: Rosengård, Häcken, Kristianstad, Eskilstuna plus the young squads of Linköping and Hammarby have taken one more step.
Sportbladet's (Aftonbldet) journalists Anna Rydén and Petra Thorén were the next guests. They talked about the media coverage and interest in women's football and Damallsvenskan through the years. Petra has written about the women's game since the 1990's. Anna talked about the attendance record in the Stockholm derby between Hammarby and AIK. Sportbladet had a studio and she was working. Her strongest memories were the walk in when music stopped and you could her the fans singing plus after the game when they waited for the players and some young girls got to meet three of the players (among them Janogy who'd scored one of the goals for Hammarby) they'd just seen play in front of a huge crowd and get the realisation they too could play in front of so many people one day. Sportbladet will continue their coverage of Damallsvenskan.
The next guests were Eskilstuna player Mia Jalkerud (Iceland retired #1 keeper Guðbjörg Gunnarsdóttir's partner and birth mother of the couple's twins) and Hammarby player Hanna Folkesson (former Sweden international). Hanna talked a bit about the record derby and then they talked about increased interest, their teams, last season and ambitions for this season. Eskilstuna and Hammarby meet in the league premiere, Mia hoped the Eskilstuna supporters could win the fight in the stands against Hammarby away... Eskilstuna always have tough games against Hammarby. The last words uttered were "It's on!"
Then studio hosts leading this press conference (and who'll be part of the Viasat team along with the different experts) spoke about NENT's long term investment over several years which includes the women's world cup. They'll cover the national team but also the Swedish players abroad in Italy, France, England and Germany. The international football will be featured in the weekly magazine on Mondays.
The presentation of the expert continues. Per Lagerström is a former coach and has coached the youth national team. He talked the development of women's football internationally with the big clubs investing in their women's teams. Said the combination in Damallsvenskan of the men's big clubs flexing the muscles with their women's teams and the traditional stand alone women's football clubs is unique in Europe. Saga Fredriksson (plays for Malmö FF fast approching the top tier currently in division 2, she has played in Damallsvenskan college football in Usa and in Italy, has previous experience as studio expert from both Sportbladet and Svt) talked about the international players coming to Damallsvenskan. Said what she'll contribute with is of course her perspective as a player but also the tactical parts of the game: "Why do you take a certain run as a player? Which foot are you using?" She feels those parts are incredibly important to look at to really understand what incredible players there are in the league and to increase the seriousness Viasat wants to make with the broadcasts.
Ilestedt and Kullberg talk about the league in pre recorded messages. Ilestedt this season looks forward to many good and even games, a big and good mix between international top players and young talents who'll get much playing time. She predicts Häcken with their big investment to win the league. Kullberg is excited for the extension to 14 teams and the investments from several clubs ahead of the season. She thinks many teams will be involved in the title fight but that either Häcken or Rosengård will take it in the end.

I'm new to Damallsvenskan, I read somewhere that the international streaming revenue from fanseat is shared partially with the players? Can anyone enlighten me on this more, or show me an article that explains it?

Sydsvenskan runs a series on combining motherhood with elite sports. In part 5 "Carre" is interviewed.
Sydsvenskan runs a series on combining motherhood with elite sports. In part 5 "Carre" is interviewed.
"Carre in 2008, same year she retired"In 2021, Fifa took the decision of a pregnancy policy that means protection for players who become pregnant during their careers. This guarantees a paid parental leave and not risking being fired from your club. The policy applies to all clubs with professional players.
Caroline Jönsson is a board member of the international players 'union Fifpro and vice chairman of the Players' Association, which is the Swedish phalanx, and one of those who have fought to make Fifa's pregnancy policy happen.
- When I started in 2014, a parent policy was a condition that we wrote down early. In December 2020, we found out that it is in Fifa's regulations and now there is a pregnancy policy, says Caroline Jönsson.
Not getting rid of the job due to a pregnancy sounds like a pretty obvious right in Sweden. But in the football world it has not been so.
- When I started playing, you were fired if you got pregnant. This is a gigantic change for women. Clubs will be forced to abide by these rules, which entail 14 weeks of parental leave, players will not lose their contracts and clubs have the right to replace a player on parental leave even outside the registration period.
Do you think that this pregnancy policy is sufficient?
- No, Caroline Jönsson answers with a laugh and continues:
- But it's a start. We want a parenting policy that would apply to everyone who has become a parent. There, it becomes important to enable you to participate in training and matches and then in some cases you need to ensure that children can follow with.
The players' association is negotiating a pregnancy and parenting policy in Swedish women's football. Together with the clubs' representative, Elitfotboll dam, they agree on a policy - but since it is part of the entire collective agreement that is being negotiated, it is not yet in place. According to SVT, the delay is due to the negotiations getting stuck in an insurance issue concerning compensation in the event of damage.
The players' association's secretary general Magnus Erlingmark hopes that the policy can be in place for the 2023 season.
- That is our absolute goal. We have a picture of what we want it to look like, but it must be bumped and soaked and different stakeholders can look at it and think for it to be really good in the end, he says.
A survey conducted by Unionen shows that 51 percent of the men's players in the Allsvenskan and the national team have children, but on the women's side, the corresponding figure is only 3 percent.
Caroline Jönsson believes that the difference is due to many reasons. One is the lack of role models.
- Before, there were few role models. Before, when we were at camp, we saw the girls from the USA who had completely different conditions with a national team agreement that included childcare and so on. But they were the only ones you saw who had it, she says.
In addition to the players being given better conditions to combine children and family with their careers, Caroline Jönsson sees many benefits of becoming a mother and continuing to play.
- Many men's players describe the change to the sport you feel when you have children. They relate to it in a different way and can enjoy it more. I think the women players with children, who are now starting to become more, also feel that.
Getting pregnant in the middle of your career involves many questions that are difficult to know the answer to before. It is uncertain how fast you can be back in play, how the body reacts and how life changes. The hope is that a parenting policy, in addition to making it easier for the parents, is that the women players could last longer and that more people then choose to become coaches.
- Then you have already had to combine family life and an active elite sports career, says Caroline Jönsson.
She herself has two children and if there had been a parenting policy at the time, it is possible that her life would have looked different.
- In part, I think I had had children before, but it was not on the map. Had there been a policy, perhaps one would have approached it in a different way and one would not have had to choose one or the other.

Probably still coming back from injury. Gerhardsson never included her in any of the gameday squads in Algarve, but she participated some in team trainings. I've looked up some things on how to follow Damallsvenskan for the 2022 season and forward for international fans. It's not possible to subscribe to Viaplay Sweden, as one suspected beforehand you couldn't do. You need a payment method for Sweden and it doesn't work to pay with a card issued by non-Swedish banks due to security reasons. If you live in Norway, Denmark, Finland, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia or Estonia you can subscribe to Viaplay domestically of course. But I would advice to contact Viaplay's customer service to double check if Damallsvenskan is included in the sports package for your country.
I'm awaiting response from Fanseat and Wnited.

Re: Swedish Soccer Ladies
DA I'm the poster from the international thread who was curious about getting into the league, in my country, ATA football has been buying a number of games from certain leagues but there's no way to know which games they buy. For instance, for Frauen Bundesliga I think they show 34 games a season, which for me is not that much, I'd much rather watch 2-3 games per week, which for that league would be 44-66. But they have a lot of variety which I guess makes paying for it worth it. If they get something less than 40 from Damallsvenskan then that will not be enough for me to have a good grasp on the league as I would like to watch it as closely as I watch WSL and NWSL, both of which I watch close to 100 games a season. So even if ATA buys some of the rights and fanseat blacks out certain games for my area, if I get the rest of the games it will be worth it as there will be 182 league matches.Guest wrote: ↑03 Mar 2022, 17:10I've looked up some things on how to follow Damallsvenskan for the 2022 season and forward for international fans. Hi again! I'm thinking maybe you (and others who are interested) could contact ATA football to request they show games from Damallsvenskan? Like emphazise you know there's an existing interest to follow the league and that people would be happy to pay to watch. Like mention there are players from the Swedish national team in the league you'd want to follow in their club teams, discover skilled national team players from other countries that you don't get to see in a World Cup and follow the young up and coming talents in the league, who's the next Bennison? Maybe add the 2022 season will be the first year with 14 teams and you'd be interested to see how that will play out and affect the table?Guest wrote: ↑04 Mar 2022, 02:12DA I'm the poster from the international thread who was curious about getting into the league, in my country, ATA football has been buying a number of games from certain leagues but there's no way to know which games they buy. Fanseat has replied. No decision has been made but they're looking into it. I was asked to keep an eye out and they'd communicate when they knew more. That was one week ago. Svt has for the 5-6 past years televised around 14 games from the autumn part of season. Not sure they'll do that in the future but I'll ask them if they're planning to. Then you can watch with a vpn.
In worst case you'll have to look for... links for the games TV6 shows. But of course it'd be best for everyone if Fanseat could work something out. The women's game needs revenue from broadcast deals to grow.

Oh ok, thank you for the reply!Guest wrote: ↑14 Mar 2022, 17:31She sat herself down in the West Ham game when she felt groin problems. Got subbed off. I'd assume she's either injured or was rested as a precaution. Re: Swedish Soccer Ladies
The group stage phase in the Swedish cup competition was decided this weekend. Group finals between Rosengård and Linköping, Häcken and Kristianstad, Eskilstuna and Djurgården, Hammarby and Umeå.
Linköping had the advantage of a better GD and would've advanced on a draw while Rosengård needed a win. 0-0 in HT before Rosengård got their shit together. 2nd half had barely started when Seger scored. Rosengård went on to win 4-0 after additional goals by Mia Persson, Schough and Mimmi Larsson.
Häcken and Kristianstad had the same points. Häcken hit the ground running and took an early 2-0 lead in first half before Kristianstad equalised to 2-1 just before HT. That was the closest Kristianstad could get though. Rytting Kaneryd decided the game in 2nd with her second goal of the day. The first goal was scored by Mille Gejl Jensen.
Djurgården needed a win to advance. The closest they got was an awarded penalty in 2nd half. They didn't convert it. Game ended 0-0 and Eskilstuna, that reached the final last year, are in the semi.
Both Hammarby and (league newcomers) Umeå had the chance to advance. Hammarby scored 1-0 already in the second minute but Umeå scored to make it 1-1 going into HT. That result meant Hammarby would go through on a better GD. Start of 2nd was a carbon copy of the 1st. Hammarby scored after two minutes to take the 2-1 lead. The lead was extended to 3-1 and there and then many thought the game was decided. But Umeå had no plans on giving up and immediately after they scored the 3-2 goal. Hammarby were able to fend them off though and are through.
Semi finals were drawn today. On Saturday Häcken face Hammarby and on Sunday Rosengård face Eskilstuna. Final isn't played until May 26 after the season has started.
