She was. That was a great lil' podcast. While I have always routed for a few teams in die hard fashion, some players are easy to be fans of (unless they are playing "my team" that is). But as far as the NWSL goes, I tend to route for the league as a whole right now, hoping it's growth continues in a healthy steady way and that it doesn't meet the ultimate downfalls of its predecessors.

It’s just not NWSL. It’s across all sports, especially among women. Lesbian women in particular. Futbol is a very Lesbian sport.

I think any player who has played overseas has kinda all have said similar things about the culture being different in the US vs Europe when it comes to soccer. I don't really think it'll change tbh.

Even men's soccer in the US has a bit of the player before crest, not to the degree of the NWSL though. I do think the number of teams there are in a league and how well spread out they are does factor in to the ride or die for the crest mentality to a degree.

Woso thrives more off drama than anything else. If Ashs personal issues in 2023 was any indication of that. Treating shit like it some tv show and not actual humans involved. Playing along with the hate train for the shits and giggles. It was beyond gross.

A big thing is that every game is somewhere to watch. Not one channel is going to cover all NWSL games. Streaming is the way of the future.

Also, Ash should be lucky fans follow players. Unfortunately, the Krashlyn brand brought new fans to the game & the teams they played for. She took alot of heat in NJ/NY right from the beginning. The keeper always does. She just wasn’t her best there but that’s ok. Her fans still loved her.

I don't she meant just one network covering all games lol. Accessibility on finding which games are on which ch etc..has always been one of the main probs nwsl has had over the years.

Yeah. It is a pretty toxic fan culture. I know not all woso fans are like that, I mean I just want to watch some soccer and cheer on some great play. Like of course I'm down for some good typical fun natured trash talk but the hate and drama culture is horrible in woso that it is hard to have that more fun natured trash talk that we see in other major sports.

So exciting that we have a English teacher here too. LChat is pumping with such high class professionals. Teacher, Mental Health Counselors, Special needs counselors, etc. This is really a happening place. When Ash said on the podcast she wants to walk into a room & be the dumbest one there, she sure would be here.

Sb is obviously busy with work stuff, all her wip episodes are a few weeks old, so it seems like she knew she had a busy period coming up. Even the dq episodes are filmed 2/3 weeks in advance now.

Having to go back west coast just for a few days is probs irritating but she’ll be back on the east coast after Sunday
