If anyone watched her earlier in the year and and is also asking about USWNT, it’s probably best that Kelley retires from USWNT. She’s slower than ever now. She shouldn’t have been selected to the WC Roster last year. She wasn’t even healthy. My bet is Juan phases her out this year more for Gotham. She’s wayyyy to injury prone. She should do more of her podcasts and stuff with JWS. Sad to see when athletes don’t hang up the cleats before they are way over the hill.Guest wrote: ↑14 Apr 2024, 20:12You can injure different body parts lol. Her ankle with always give her problems, but it's been other things lately. In 2022 I think it went from her calf, to her hamstring, then her hip, and it was obvious whatever it was, it was working its way up her leg and she didn't play the rest of the season. Last year right before the World Cup I think it was her ankle or calf because her leg was taped tf up. She ended up missing most of the end of last season after the World Cup. Now it's her knee. I wonder if it's all the same leg?Guest wrote: ↑14 Apr 2024, 18:17Out with a knee injury? Thought it was her ankle?
Anyway, girl can't stay healthy and sadly I see retirement on the horizon. She's been like this since like 2017 but has been able to bounce back in the nick of time. Not so much anymore. If not for the COVID year, I'm not sure she would have been able to have the one healthy season with the Spirit in 2021. DA

Re: Kelley O'hara
Just saw the availability report. She is out. I don't think she lives in DC anymore, it's not in her Instagram bio DaGuest wrote: ↑19 Apr 2024, 08:01She’s injured for this game too? Does she still live in DC?
Re: Kelley O'hara
There’s a podcast or interview where KO said KS refused to move to ATL. But I guess NYC worked?
KO took out DC, but they bought a house there? She also changed her contact… OHouseProductions?! New career path?
Re: Kelley O'hara
Someone mentioned in here that KS employer has offices in NYC, so that makes sense if she did make the permanent move as opposed to ATL.Guest wrote: ↑21 Apr 2024, 08:36There’s a podcast or interview where KO said KS refused to move to ATL. But I guess NYC worked?

Didn't they co-produce that film? Makes sense they would have a production company together and maybe it wasn't just a one-off thing. Da

That was me, Politico was acquired by the Springer Group, their US headquarters is in New York.Guest wrote: ↑21 Apr 2024, 14:02Someone mentioned in here that KS employer has offices in NYC, so that makes sense if she did make the permanent move as opposed to ATL.Guest wrote: ↑21 Apr 2024, 08:36There’s a podcast or interview where KO said KS refused to move to ATL. Re: Kelley O'hara
Looks like KS is going into more production. Thoughts on the recent Ripe film updates? They were both Exec. producers on it.
Re: Kelley O'hara
The film was accepted as part of the Tribeca Film Fest, which is HUGE. One of the best film festivals out there. I'll probably go to the June 8th screening after the Gotham game.
Re: Kelley O'hara
There are some pretty qualified people on that short film. Good for them, but it isn’t Sundance. Short films have like a 25% chance of being accepted. LGBTQ films, even more. Anyone notice KS added O’House Productions to her LinkedIn? I googled the company and her name came up. Goal is to promote female storylines. Apparently it’s based in NYC, no website though. I guess good for KO while she’s rehabbing her injuries.Guest wrote: ↑29 Apr 2024, 03:25The film was accepted as part of the Tribeca Film Fest, which is HUGE. One of the best film festivals out there. Re: Kelley O'hara
KO. My fav player. I wonder when she made this decision? For sure not selected for Olympics? Sad after all her time for USWNT. I guess moving onto other projects.
Re: Kelley O'hara
She's my favorite player, too. So sad. JWS did an interview with her, she said she made the decision over the off-season and it's given her time to come to terms with it more. She said she always told herself she would quit when she stopped loving playing or when she physically couldn't anymore, and she realized over the last few years she would always love it, and ultimately she knew her body couldn't handle it anymore. And that's why she's doing it now as opposed to hanging on for one or two more seasons. DAGuest wrote: ↑02 May 2024, 23:03KO. My fav player. I wonder when she made this decision? Re: Kelley O'hara
Saw the news about KO. Sad she’s done soon. Anyway she makes the Olympic roster? Wonder when she came to the decision.
Re: Kelley O'hara
She hasn't been called up since the World Cup, so her Olympic chances are slim to none. Even when they were calling up players who were on the World Cup roster for those friendlies after the tournament, she wasn't available due to injury. She's injured now, actually.Guest wrote: ↑03 May 2024, 04:42Saw the news about KO. Sad she’s done soon. Anyway she makes the Olympic roster? Wonder when she came to the decision.
I said this a couple of posts above yours, but she made the decision during the off-season. Said she listened to her body. Repeatedly being injured and coming back has been taking its toll. DA
