Abramowicz has no clue about tennis and isn't interested in the sport at all, but before she latched onto Iga, she knew two things. According to many coaches, Iga is a special talent and it's very likely that she will be a TOP10 player. Iga is already quite well-known in the media (since winning Wimbledon as a junior) so she will be able to promote herself through her.
For many other players, a sport psychologist is just a sport psychologist. Look at Kasatkina, acoording to her vlog she has one too, she is an older woman as well, but she barely travels with Kasatkina and they don't really spend time with each other apart from the actual work. Kasatkina's psychologist can't promote herself. And I know Iga is a more successful player, but still... How could Daria suspect that it would be different in her case?
Before Iga started working with Daria, she worked with other psychologists. At some point, she decided that she wanted a psychologist to travel with her to tournaments and started looking for a new psychologist. That's how she found Daria. So, Daria knew from the very beginning that if Iga chose her, she would be able to be with her all the time. As for promoting herself, Daria probably also didn't know that she would definitely be able to do it. She just started, as always, to gradually promote herself and since probably no one told her anything about it, she continues to do so.
So, it seems that the reason was simply the need to always have someone by her side."When I started working with Daria in 2019, my main goal was to improve my situation on the court. To be more focused, control emotions. However, then we started talking about my personal life, about how to be confident, how to grow up, how to cope with popularity, or about the business side of the sport. I feel that we worked on everything," Iga Świątek said, as quoted by "sport.pl".
"It's nice to have someone with whom you can just talk about various things. It helps me clear my mind (...) Now, being number one, the expectations have doubled. So, I feel that Daria and I had a lot of work. She is very helpful. My team has to take care of me. My coach takes care of my tennis, my physiotherapist takes care of my body, but I also need someone to be there when I want and need to talk. I want to have fun, play well, do what I do best. But I don't want to lose myself. I want to enjoy life on the tour. So, I try to keep my cool," says the Polish representative

But Daria is indeed taking advantage of Iga. Both to gain financial benefits (Iga's sponsors, such as ON, Oshee, previously Asics, and probably Rolex, pay her) and to increase her own visibility by using Iga's brand for free (wherever she appears, she acts as Iga Świątek's psychologist). When a psychologist spends so much time with a client, it is already manipulation.Guest wrote: ↑31 Mar 2024, 00:34this is why i just don't think it's "manipulation". and i don't think they are dating, either. i think iga might have a bit of mental weakness here. she's spoken in the past about loneliness and such. i don't think daria is taking advantage of her, i think she's just fulfilling the role of iga's caretaker. iga has very few friends, is away from family most of the year, and daria is the only woman on her team. so it makes sense to me that they spend so much time together. i guess iga just doesn't like being alone.
This relationship should be therapeutic, not some form of friendly, business, or even romantic interaction. In such a relationship, the clients are always vulnerable, because it is them who shares their life, and the psychologist should provide certain techniques, help to overcome some difficulties together, so that the clients can cope with their life and further challenges on their own. This is one of the goals of therapy. In Iga's case, we can see that the pani psycholog only increases her influence on her. She becomes a kind of indispensable member of the team, on whom everything rests. She should have stopped psychological work with her and, for example, remained her manager and an important member of the team, but at the same time transferred her client to another psychologist so that there would be no violation of boundaries. But she does not do this. After all, another psychologist grom the outsider would immediately help Iga to see these manipulations and make her more independent.
So you have an interesting theory, but the facts IMO indicate otherwise unfortunately.
I just hope that it is not a romantic relationship, because that would be a tragedy.
As for this, there are indeed a lot of easter eggs that this could be true. Constant vacations together separately from other team members. The complete absence of a husband in the life of this so-called psychologist. Damn, she can like and repost fan posts on Twitter. Obviously, she knows about these speculations about their romantic relationship. It would be very easy for her to refute them all if things weren't really so complicated and if she had the desire to do this. You post a picture with your husband on your anniversary on Instagram with the caption "my love, the most understanding man" and that's it, everyone forgets about these strange gossips for another year. But she doesn't do that. There are no questions about Iga here, she can really be busy with tennis, be a little asexual and not think about relationships right now, especially since she won't be able to build anything serious with such a schedule. That's why we don't see any signs from her. But D. she is a psychologist, an adult married woman. She could very quickly refute all these gossips, but she desn't do so, hiding behind Iga's back. It's interesting why.

Re: Iga Swiatek - Tennis Player
Well, I don't consider Iga stupid, but she is certainly naive, as evidenced by many of her statements on non-tennis topics. Regarding the claim that Daria does not take advantage of Iga, I obviously disagree. An example of how Daria takes advantage of her acquaintance with Iga is Iga's relationship with Mikaela Shiffrin. Before Iga met Daria, she had no interest in alpine skiing and had no idea who Shiffrin was. Unlike Daria, for whom Shiffrin was a childhood idol. Daria convinced Iga to publicly speak about Shiffrin, thereby initiating a relationship between them. As a result, Daria has already met her idol (interestingly, Iga has not yet met Shiffrin in person). can you share more examples? i'm starting to understand what you mean. i know some people suspect iga may be autistic. if that's true, it would explain a few things. autistic people generally take others at face value and can take a bit longer to develop an "adult"'s way of thinking (i.e. taking longer to realize that other people can be cruel and manipulative). that's why autistic women in particular are abused so often. i don't mean that she's still a child mentally, but that i agree she is naive. if daria is taking advantage of that naivete then that is truly heartbreaking.nanorobot wrote: ↑01 Apr 2024, 21:47Well, I don't consider Iga stupid, but she is certainly naive, as evidenced by many of her statements on non-tennis topics. Re: Iga Swiatek - Tennis Player
She probably needed someone who can be there with her all the time and supports her goals. Especially if the mentioned things are true about her mother, she wanted someone who can fill that supporting role. That's why I don't think it's 100% accurate to say that Iga is just like a child, because children can be very angry at their parents, but they also forgive them quickly, they have bond, but it seems like Iga cares about her tennis career more than her mom, that's why it was an opportunity for Daria. Iga suddenly had Daria and she probably felt that everything is okay, there is no need to change or resolve anything, she can play her tennis and Daria understands that, supports that. Iga thought that it gives her the stability to continue her tennis.Guest wrote: ↑30 Mar 2024, 21:50But why? People always discuss this from Daria's point of view. Well, another example might be another alpine skier Lindsey Vonn, who was invited to a player's box during the US Open 2022. Of course, it turns out Daria is a big fan of hers. In one of the interviews, Iga even talked about how she took a picture with the singer Seal during the last US Open. Namely, Daria told her who he was and that she should approach him. The recent episode of Kasatkina's vlog was fantastic. The only important person who is still missing from the vlog is Iga. I hope Dasha will catch her in Mardid or Rome, when the other Daria is not paying attention.Guest wrote: ↑29 Mar 2024, 20:02

lets the gossip begin... Maja and Iga are both 22yo... https://imgbox.com/U6VdHuIQ
Re: Iga Swiatek - Tennis Player
Daria Abramowicz in Switzerland? What does she do in a 2 days teamwork? Dawid Celt doesn't like her. He questioned Daria in front of cameras. Probably Iga insisted Daria in BJK Team Poland. Iga needs Daria to communicate with other members. No Daria, No Iga play for Team Poland.

Re: Iga Swiatek - Tennis Player
To be fair, I am surprised that Celt stayed as BJK Cup captain. Radwanska heavily criticised Iga for skipping BJK Cup, which was all over Polish media and Celt didn't disagree with his wife. TBH I expected Wiktorowski to return as the captain.Guest wrote: ↑11 Apr 2024, 12:27Daria Abramowicz in Switzerland? What does she do in a 2 days teamwork? Dawid Celt doesn't like her. Also, I thought we would never see Frech and Linette with Iga in one time, as I've seen gossips that both Magdas are not fond of Iga and Team Swiatek. Especially after Iga stood them up at BJK Cup twice already!
Re: Iga Swiatek - Tennis Player
They're just pretending to be friendly to Iga. Iga, equals international sponsors and more money, equals boosting Poland's national image, equals benefits for the Polish Tennis Association, equals benefits for everyone associated with Polish tennis, equals a share of the benefits, and the fame, for everyone who surrounds Iga. They all understand this, and Daria understands it very well.Guest wrote: ↑11 Apr 2024, 15:55To be fair, I am surprised that Celt stayed as BJK Cup captain. Re: Iga Swiatek - Tennis Player
Daria just went and hugged Iga individually and tightly, right after the Polish team did their circle cheer, immediately, tightly. What's the big problem with Daria? What kind of weird psychological implication is this that "Iga belongs to Daria"?That Iga has to fulfill the ritual of hugging Daria individually, once before the game and once after the game?

Thankfully for Daria, Chwalińska and Juvan are not at Iga's level of tennis, so she doesn't need to be jelaous at every tournament.
Re: Iga Swiatek - Tennis Player
honestly i can’t stand it. she never wears makeup or girly clothes in her private time and has talked about not liking makeup on her so what’s up with this sudden 180? feels like she’s developed this complex about not being feminine which is unfortunate because she’s obviously perfect as she is

I'm sorry, but this is so fake. And that story about her supposedly being gifted their perfume as a teenager.... just LOL. It's sad that she doesn't have the courage to be herself.

I get OP's points, but I also think we shouldn't be so quick to judge.
I am all for natural beauty, I don't like make up and really admire the (many) athletes that don't wear any and I agree, Iga is beautiful as she, she doesn't need it.
that said, she is still young, and it's okay to explore and experiment. this is true when it comes to her image as well. she may have said that she didn't like make up in the past, but she can changed her mind, maybe has found a way to use it that she likes?
everyone should feel free to try new things, even out of their comfort zone. if this is what's happening, I'm okay with it.
if on the other hand, she is feeling insecure, or someone is pushing her in a direction she doesn't want to follow, than that would be a shame. I really hope that's not the case.
Re: Iga Swiatek - Tennis Player

Re: Iga Swiatek - Tennis Player
DA. I agree with the post above. Even though it could be some insecurity like some of you say (also, some time ago she said she didn't want to appear "too masculine" and people often make dumb questions and comments about her dressing styles or her being "a man" because she usually doesn't dress very feminine) but honestly she looks so good and hot to me here.Guest wrote: ↑15 Apr 2024, 17:49daGuest wrote: ↑15 Apr 2024, 16:14is it money or insecurity? or is someone else in her life pushing her to rake in some more cash? it doesn't feel like igaGuest wrote: ↑15 Apr 2024, 15:40What people won't do for money...Guest wrote: ↑15 Apr 2024, 13:53honestly i can’t stand it. she never wears makeup or girly clothes in her private time and has talked about not liking makeup on her so what’s up with this sudden 180? feels like she’s developed this complex about not being feminine which is unfortunate because she’s obviously perfect as she is

And the style in these photos isn't even trying so hard to be feminine, what makes it the most feminine is just the lipstick, and what else besides that? Without the lipstick, it's pretty minimalistic and basic. And the black clothing looks classy. It surprised me a little and I like the overall result very much
It's not on the same level of "very feminine" session I rememeber Daria Kasatkina once did a few years ago (and joked about it some time ago in a video haha) where she wore fem dresses, heels, striking funny teasing poses and recently said that she didn't know what she was doing there lol.
lga's photoshoot seems balanced, imo.
Plus, they took a photo with the blazer on as well, it can be found on Lancome's IG too in their Iga post. So it doesn't seem like they're trying to erase that side of her.
Re: Iga Swiatek - Tennis Player
the reason i mention insecurity is cause she's been talking recently about how her body looks "too masculine". it's really sad, actually.Guest wrote: ↑15 Apr 2024, 17:49daGuest wrote: ↑15 Apr 2024, 16:14is it money or insecurity? or is someone else in her life pushing her to rake in some more cash? it doesn't feel like igaGuest wrote: ↑15 Apr 2024, 15:40What people won't do for money...Guest wrote: ↑15 Apr 2024, 13:53honestly i can’t stand it. she never wears makeup or girly clothes in her private time and has talked about not liking makeup on her so what’s up with this sudden 180? feels like she’s developed this complex about not being feminine which is unfortunate because she’s obviously perfect as she is

You can clearly see in the training video from Stuttgart that Daria is filming with Iga's iPhone and posting it in Iga's IG stories. A series of IGstories of Iga at the Porsche Museum were also filmed and posted by Daria.
Daria can unlock Iga's iPhone at any time and use Iga's accounts to post Xs and IGs. Those who defend Daria, what is your excuse this time?

Daria’s job is to protect Iga from hateful messages and posts in the outside world. We don’t know if she reads her private messages. Who would write to her except Daria herself and Kaja Juvan.Guest wrote: ↑16 Apr 2024, 05:15You can clearly see in the training video from Stuttgart that Daria is filming with Iga's iPhone and posting it in Iga's IG stories.
