What is known of Asllani relationships? Is she with someone? Straight or no?
Also, why she always has a bandage on her left hand?

Re: Swedish Soccer Ladies
Swedes have been speculating about it for a while, they live together and have the sam registered adress. no need fpr two players of their caliber to be sharing a flat unless they really want to.LMD wrote: ↑25 Feb 2024, 18:29Does anyone know if Seger and Schough is engaged? if they got married, we would have known because thats public information - but they could definitly be engaged
Re: Swedish Soccer Ladies
I think they are engaged if you look at context clues. Both wearing rings, and apparently some fans discovered that Seger had made a playlist on Spotify titled “C&O bröllop” (C&O wedding). They’re super private about the relationship though, have never confirmed it or posted anything on their public socials that looks overtly romantic. They’ve owned a house together for years though, and one of Olivia’s sisters posted a picture or video of them on her public Instagram where they were cuddled up together in a very couple-y way. I’m doubtful as to whether they’ll share anything from the wedding, but whether they do or not, I’m sure it’ll be quite the event with lots of teammates in attendance.LMD wrote: ↑25 Feb 2024, 18:29Does anyone know if Seger and Schough is engaged? When asked who she told first about her decision to retire, Seger said Olivia and something about how great it was to have someone she could be 100% comfortable with There’s also the fact that Seger is godmother to one of Olivia’s nieces!Guest wrote: ↑26 Feb 2024, 15:25I think they are engaged if you look at context clues. Re: Swedish Soccer Ladies
Sweden has got the group of death but there's a good chance they can get the second spot at least. A lot of fresh faces are very promising + the deadweight that is Caroline Seger as well as Hedvig Lindahl aren't here anymore.
Fish n Chips as well as Croissant fans are underestimating them so that will work in their favor too.

Re: Swedish Soccer Ladies
The deadweight is the coach not starting janogy and other proven youngsters over stina. both rolfo and blomqvist might be back for some of these matches, especially if sweden goes to playoff so that's a plus. i think sweden can come second if they dont do something stupid again and just beat france and ireland. beating france is not as hard as people think, its doable by a decent team.Guest wrote: ↑05 Mar 2024, 14:00Sweden has got the group of death but there's a good chance they can get the second spot at least. Re: Swedish Soccer Ladies
Of course it’s a very tough group, it will be tough for Sweden to take a direct qualifing spot for the Euros, which they are used to. And that’s because of the 3rd place nations league finish, which gave us this draw. The nations league is very unforgiving in that way, there’s no inertia, like if these groups had been drawn from Fifa ranking. Sweden is 4th in Europe, so would then have avoided Spain, France and England, and could only have drawn one of Germany and the Netherlands.Guest wrote: ↑05 Mar 2024, 14:00Sweden has got the group of death but there's a good chance they can get the second spot at least. But I don’t think the draw is that bad for Sweden. We get top teams coming to Sweden to play us which is great for publicity and ticket sales, and then if they finish 3rd (which is likely imo) there will be playoffs, they aren’t out. First a League C team and then most likely a League B team. It should be no problem. The worst case scenario is Portugal or Scotland in the second playoff game, which they’ll avoid with a good seeding.
There’s every opportunity to qualify directly, and if they don’t they don’t have to schedule friendlies, that’s how I look at it.
The most important thing is to not underestimate Ireland and think that the lowest we could finish is 3rd. Like we may have done a little in the first NL, there was so much focus on Spain that we took for granted a bit beating Italy and Switzerland. Sweden had a 1-1 draw against Ireland in the world cup qualifiers just the other year iirc. They are not a bad team. And we don’t wanna finish 4th, as even though there are still Euros playoffs the 4th placed team also gets relegated to League B ahead of next year’s NL.
Re: Swedish Soccer Ladies
I hate Peter and his demand for players with "rutin" sometimes. Our squad was one of the oldest at the world cup yet he prefers playing 33+ year olds instead of building a squad that can compete 2025 and 2027.
Re: Swedish Soccer Ladies
Against Bosnia the team was younger, but mostly because a lot of players were missing.Guest wrote: ↑08 Mar 2024, 20:09I hate Peter and his demand for players with "rutin" sometimes. But I mean, what should the game plan be? We have to at least try beating England and France, but the most important team to beat is Ireland, to stay clear of finishing 4th. He won’t think he has any room to rotate or try new players. But those who have played a few games now aren’t new anymore. That’s the reality, because there will be injuries and absences.
And players like Janogy. Vinberg, Nilden getting experience from playing in Europe. It’s not a given that those who have been out injured for 6 months automatically get their spot back, if those replacing them have been doing a good job. And the only real ”Seger type” players in Peter’s book left are Asllani and Sembrandt. But I think they deserve their spots still.
The good thing if we go to the playoffs is those will be much easier games, especially the first one. Then he can rotate more.

Sembrandt. And Nildén, Rybrink. Then you start moving the outside backs to center back, or move back a defensive midfielder.
First game was England at Wembley right? We should be fine.

Re: Swedish Soccer Ladies
Was at AIK - Hammarby today in the Swedish cup. Raining and freezing but besides that fun. 0-4 for the visitors. I knew Hammarby was the likely winner but the thing that I noticed most was the players looked visibly different. Almost all Hammarby players were bigger than AIK’s players and looked more fit, more muscular. They looked like full time players, and AIK looked like a young semi-pro team. Which is what they were all of last year so nothing strange about that.
They do have good players and they didn’t lose a single game last year in Elitettan, but this was good for them to see the difference in level with the best from the top division. Playing against national team players like Andersson, Lennartsson and Roddar, and the Finnish and Danish internationals. That’s very different compared to Elitettan.
AIK is gonna have to reinforce their team a little bit if they want to compete at the top of Damallsvenskan, but obviously the immediate ambition should be to simply stay up. Buying players is not enough either, it’s even more important to become full time and have a fully professional set up. Hope they will aim to establish themselves in the top tier this time, and hopefully the club leadership has a better attitude than last time.
It will take a few years of hard work, step by step investment and active recruitment before they compete with the best in the league and before their women’s team has built a bigger fanbase, so if that’s the club’s aim they have to give them that time and believe in the project.

I'd say it's the scandi genes but then the Danish and Norwegian players aren't all like that. It's only the Sweden team that looks like more than half the players are models, and none of them ever overdo it with makeup and all that.

Relationship drama in the men’s team today.. or I shouldn’t call it drama, a long term couple with two kids breaking up publicly is no fun. Of course hoards of men blaming the wife for standing up for herself in public and thinking that a guy shouldn’t be called out for neglecting his family, cheating, or whatever it is he did. She’s not divorcing him for nothing.
