Based on this logic we won’t see a playlist for Conti Cup final. Nah, don’t think that will happen. Guess she will celebrate her birthday but not in Ibiza, guess there will be too many people attending.Guest wrote: ↑28 Mar 2024, 22:05They have the second weekend of April free, she will celebrate her birthday party that weekend and based on the list she has made on Spotify, that party will be in Ibiza.Guest wrote: ↑28 Mar 2024, 22:02Do we think this Ibiza trip will be at the end of the season, because when will they have enough time off before that for a trip to Ibiza? Re: English Football Ladies
Obv been dead reflective of Steph Houghton the past few days and everything she has done then you see how Leah Williamson spends her England captain years. Leah will get all the credit because of the Euros win but everything I see of her off the pitch just makes me dislike her. I really wish it was a Lotte Wubben Moy or Maz Pacheco or someone doing a lot off the pitch that was getting all that credit. Leah’s focus clearly lies on celebrity culture. That’s not even a diss but she loves the parties and events etc which is fine for a footballer but just not my preference for captain and face of women’s football. She really bothers me. She probably will be in Ibiza mid season I don’t doubt it, She won’t be England captain forever and I hate that this is how she spends her time away from the pitch in this period of her life

Yes, I see what you mean. When I looked at the second week of April, she plays on the Tuesday (9th) with england and then Sunday (14th) she plays with arsenal. So maybe then but visually looking at it on a calendar… but tight

Idk. I get where you’re coming from but also in the women’s game they really do kind of rely on the income they get from international football. They can’t always afford to just ignore that. Switching nationalities can mean they’re available for other selection and therefore can get that income.Guest wrote: ↑28 Mar 2024, 15:17personally i think once you’re 18, you should declare what nationality you are and what nation you’ll pay for. no messing about when you’re in your 20s and changing nations because you’re still in the youth group and not being called up to the seniors.

She does seem like genuinely proud to represent Morroco and has those connections to it. But I do wonder if she changed because she didn’t think she’d get a call up to England, or because she really did want to explore her Moroccan roots and that side of herself. Never really read into it so not sure if she’s spoken on it before.
And she has spoken on her decision before, she says she did it for her dad, who was Moroccan, and passed away when she was 13. Helps her feel connected to him and to reconnect with her heritage.

Same 100%. From a professional sense maybe it’s better to have more selection of players or whatever. But personally if I was benched for a player that only even cares about my country because they couldn’t make selection for their own… i’d be absolutely pissed off. Maybe not say anything or create beef, but more inside just be fuming about it.Guest wrote: ↑28 Mar 2024, 13:33Something like 1/3 of the Irish World Cup squad was born outside of Ireland, and at least a couple of them switched over within the year of the WC after Ireland had qualified.
