Looking up family members online digging for content, trying to follow private accounts, etc. THAT hasn’t happened with any of the other couples and it would be great if we continue to not allow it here. This HAS to be a troll comment. People keep tabs on who Ellie is following and what new wedding venues/dresses she’s looking at. We’ve also had people post stuff from Sam’s family/friends accounts from their private engagement party. No fans are more toxic than others, especially not in this thread. Just let everyone be happy over whoever they like, and as long as no one is doxing addresses/personal info then its fine. Yes its bad taste to post images that have obviously meant to be private, but it happens and just choose to not engage with it if you think its morally and ethically wrong. I think OP just hasn’t been here very long. The early days of Ellie/Daan were very much like current Caitlin/Katie observations - basically doing anything to dig up info on the new couple. It’s normal for people to be curious and excited when they think there’s a “secret” relationship happening. We can all coexist here and it’s been usually a wonderful environment without all this odd competitive stuff.

A lot of this is due to the explosion in woso fans post Euros (and to some extent, post-WC23). Agree that when Ellie and Daan first went public, there was definitely some surprise, because some thought they were a bit of an unlikely couple, but a lot of the hate came after July 2022. It's the fans that came post-Euros (many of whom become fans through the Lionesses and then became Arsenal fans) that seem to have caused so much drama. I suspect if you drew a Venn diagram of E/D haters, C/K haters, Lioness fans, and Arsenal fans you would get a lot of people in the 'all of the above' category. I can't figure out why C/K are so hated though, even though they are Arsenal players.

Da x2, things have always been a bit more unhinged on the International side but the Aussie thread was usually very chill until about 6-8 months ago once Katie and Caitlin emerged as a couple. I don't know if that's because it also coincided with new post-WC fans or what.

As a big Sam and Kristie fan, I’d say the Caitlin/Katie fans are worse on TikTok - but I also think they’re all like 13 years old. Whereas Ellie/Daan fans can be the most unhinged here - however that has definitely chilled out recently now the engagement isn’t as fresh. I like being in my Sam and Kristie bubble and I honestly think because they don’t hide their relationship no one really cares that much. That’s the difference.

The common denominator in all you said above are English fans for sure. We don’t have any English fans in here, so it’s more chill for the most part (and you can tell when English fans come in here to start shit because it’s always between 2-4am AEDT). I think with the C/K hate it’s more or less Ruesha fans who believe the cheating rumour hype. Most people don’t care about them. It’s always fans who feel vindictive that a player moved on from their fav with someone new - look at the Beth Mead stan and how she treats Ellie.

Ellie and Daan never confirmed their relationship, it just became glaringly obvious after the UWCL final in 22. They weren’t hiding. And honestly same for Caitlin and Katie. They tried to “launch” or whatever the kids call it these days with Ibiza pics and that backfired. And then the whole WC debacle happened so they laid low but they weren’t “hiding.” I guess maybe because they were lower key than the other two I mentioned half the fun for fans was seeing if they could tell if they were together? But they’ve been together nearly a year now so that “play detective” of it all is long over.

Yes you’re right sorry. I didn’t mean like they’re hiding the fact they’re in a relationship, just that they’re more private. Sam and Kristie hard launched with a pic of them making out lol. Hey this has been spoken about quite a bit recently but the consensus is she’s likely to go back to Everton. Could also see her at Spurs or Liverpool but she’ll likely be on the bench more there as their teams are more forward heavy. West Ham could be another option but they aren’t that great so she might choose a higher ranking team. It’s unlikely she’d sign for Chelsea, Arsenal or Man City as they all have strong wingers/she’s a bit old to replace their current wingers long term.

I think either Everton or Liverpool are likely, although Everton more likely than Liverpool for the exact reason you stated (they have more forwards who are frankly younger and better). Being up north would put her closer to Izzy too, who lives in Cumbria. I'm still curious to see how they'll end up, they've been together for almost 4 years now, pretty below the radar but what they do post is cute. I don't see Raso being the type to settle in Cumbria post-retirement but who knows.
