Heck of a game from West Virginia.
isn't it more a case of Iowa playing badly rather than WVU playing well? they are going to lose in the next round if they keep going like this.
Yeah Iowa didn’t play all that well, but I thought WVU played good defense and had a lot to do with that. Iowa better play better against Colorado or they’re going home.
I’m hoping it was just PTSD from the Creighton/Georgia games and they all get it together and get the offensive flowing the rest of the way

Good defensive plan from WV and everyone who was on fire during the big ten tournament all of a sudden going cold. Clark and Affolter looked like the only ones not afraid to shoot. Martin especially looked lost on offense. Agree though I hope it was just round of 32 jitters like last year.

Theyre missing Davis a lot more than I thought they would. She was still limping in a video I saw yesterday so I don’t think there’s any chance she plays Saturday.

Only reason I can think Kenny Brooks is going to Kentucky is due to them being $EC. Otherwise it’s a terrible move. They do not care about wbb at all. He certainly won’t get the crowds he gets at VT.

How the NCAA approved a bid package and Gonzaga submitted a package including a town that is known nationally for this is beyond me.
All 4 seeds get to host. I suppose the committee could've seeded them lower and made Utah the 4 seed.

I know how the process works but the NCAA should have rejected the hotel in Idaho as an option for a team to stay and Gonzaga should have never included the hotel in the bid.
All teams who may host have to submit a bid and be approved, so the blame is really on the NCAA.

can UCLA please beat LSU? i don't care about UCLA, but i just want Mulkey to lose, especially to who she would probably call California heathen hippies.
I want UCLA to make the final 4, simply because I don’t want IA or LSU to 🤷‍♀️🤣
haha, UCLA catching all the hater "fans." does it matter in the end anyway? can any team actually beat SC? the team that came closest this year already lost today.
Can they beat SC, probably not. But i would prefer not to see final 4 coverage and stories all focus on a single player. Give a team like SC a fair amount of media for how their season has gone.
I feel like I don’t mind the Clark coverage, both because I like her but also she’s the best player it makes sense to highlight her. There’s a reason she’s bringing in views - people want to see her. Everyone can act like there’s multiple players doing what she does but the fact is there isn’t

If anything I’m more frustrated by teams like LSU and UConn getting the team coverage, that should go to SC as they’re the best team

Finally had to block that 94 feet account. SEC homers. No, they aren’t the premiere league in the country lol They are SC then LSU with everyone else way behind. Two whopping Sweet 16 teams. Miss me with that.

Yeah, it feels like SC is a bit under the radar as the #1 team, but they don’t have that big breakout star I assume is why. Whenever I see something on them, it’s usually about Staley.

The thing with SC is they’re so good it’s almost “boring”

It’s not as fun for casual fans to watch and talk about an undefeated team winning by 20 every game. The other teams have stars with big storylines and their games are more competitive.

I think Amoore was most likely not coming back anyways. She's projected as a first rounder in the draft and her NIL is limited as an international student. If not the WNBA, she can go always go pro back home.

All of the “refs/NCAA wouldn’t let Clark lose!!!” takes are so stupid to me because if that’s the case why give them the worst draw? NCAA could’ve made their road to the final four a lot easier if they REALLY wanted to make sure they stuck around.

They had the highest rated 8 seed, WVU had a NET of 21 which is higher than all the other 8s and most of the 6s and 7s. Then they have one of the tougher 4s and 5s, toughest 3 seed, and probably second toughest 2 next to Stanford.

They just hate that a white girl taking away all the attention lol
Maybe they should watch LSU and SC instead obsessing over Clark then they should know how biased the refs towards LSU and SC too

My complaints with refs are they are all to inconsistent and insert themselves in games when they shouldn’t. I think the UConn game last night was a good example where a review went on way too long and messed with the flow of the game in the 4th. I also really wish the would enforce the flopping rule because there way to many players who taking advantage of refs not enforcing the rule.

It shows people don’t watch and just want to hate, obviously WV had more fouls, their whole game plan is to be super physical and make steals. Every single team that play gets like 20 more FTs than them

Interested to see how Clark comes out playing on Saturday. Lots of ridiculous discourse around her on court ~attitude~, team not looking great against WVU, her still in a shooting slump.

She needs to channel whatever energy she was on at this time last year in the tournament because this is about the same time she started going nuclear.

An article also came out where the Colorado players straight up said they’re going try to get into her head so I hope she sees that and realizes the smart strategy is just to go dead eyes and just destroy like she did in Louisville and SC last year

People are just insane. Clark had the better season. Bueckers has been better the last month or so. They are both exceptional players and it is not clear who will be the better WNBA player.

They can both be good. And of course Geno is going to say his all-American is the best. That isn’t a slight on anyone else.

Yeah I need Clark to go off on Saturday so people remember who she really is. They’re both amazing players, 1A and 1B in college IMO.

She has looked so drained for awhile though. She handled the massive pressure and spotlight well for most of the season, but I’ve been wondering if it’s finally getting to her. The discourse this week especially has been absolutely insane.

Isn't he also the person most responsible for people thinking Paige wasn't the "best player in the country" by playing her our of position and not allowing Paige (and every other GREAT player he's EVER coached) to average more than 20 points? You take the best high school PG in the country and play her everywhere but PG?

Slightly related topic. Will Clark make the Olympic team? I would say she needs to pay her dues in the WNBA first, but they actually need a point guard. And REALLY need to move on from Taurasi (who I know isn’t a point guard, but is taking a roster spot).

In advance of the 2024-25 upfront bazaar, GroupM—which last year controlled an estimated $64 billion in global media spend—not only plans to supercharge its annual investment in women’s sports but is also working toward developing a marketplace exclusively dedicated to transacting against an often-overlooked segment. GroupM clients that already have committed to up their women’s sports spend during the spring/summer ad sell-off include Adidas, Unilever, Google, Discover, Mars, Nationwide and Universal Pictures.

Not in the portal yet? Man, if she leaves VT to go to Kentucky or some other school, that sucks for VT. It’s like kicking them while they’re down.

What would the benefit for her to transfer now as opposed to going into WNBA? I don’t really watch her enough to know how well she’ll do in the WNBA, so is she a question mark on making it? And if she were going pro, why wouldn’t she say it in her goodbye post?

She wouldn't have wrote "this place will always be home" if she was transferring.

S'he's a 1st round pick in all the mock drafts I've seen. The only question mark is her size. She's like Dana Evans.
