I'm hearing a lot about LGB and migrant worker rights and that's a good thing. I'm not hearing anything about women's rights. Let's be honest we all know that women are treated as the property of men in the middle east but hearing almost nothing about.Guest wrote: ↑12 Nov 2022, 13:59

Which country has your favourite jersey/kit?
I'm quite liking Japan's and Brazil's. Sad they've ruined Croatia's classic checkered shirts with only having a tiny bit on the sleeves.

Do you think France will continue the holders' curse of crashing out during the 1st round? I hope so.

I think they will squeeze through in to the last 16… They’ve been awful this year.

Re: FIFA World Cup 2022
I’m hoping it’s just because this year it’s been the nations league and lets be honest, who’s really bothered about it? It’s a pointless competition imo and just adds to an already hectic schedule in a footballing year such as this.Guest wrote: ↑12 Nov 2022, 17:16Me too. Re: FIFA World Cup 2022
Fair point. Same can be said for Owen Jones who has also been vocal about Qatar holding world cup but attacks any woman standing up for womens rights as being transphobic.
Re: FIFA World Cup 2022
Who is the actual favorite to win? I swear every site I look at says different.
Re: FIFA World Cup 2022
100% no doubt that will happen, the team sucks, the coach is a moron, the group of players chosen is the worst and adding Benzema is a huge mistake since he clearly doesn't fit with the team at all and it means they won't even be able to at least score and save face.Guest wrote: ↑12 Nov 2022, 16:05Do you think France will continue the holders' curse of crashing out during the 1st round? Re: FIFA World Cup 2022
This is the stupidest comment I've seen today. The only thing this team lacks is the midfield, which could be a big problem yes, but France has one of the strongest offensive line.Guest wrote: ↑12 Nov 2022, 17:55100% no doubt that will happen, the team sucks, the coach is a moron, the group of players chosen is the worst and adding Benzema is a huge mistake since he clearly doesn't fit with the team at all and it means they won't even be able to at least score and save face.Guest wrote: ↑12 Nov 2022, 16:05Do you think France will continue the holders' curse of crashing out during the 1st round? The last world cup: "France can't win without Benzema", this world cup: "France can't win with Benzema" lmao the same old shit. A player is never the magic bullet to win, but he is the best player in the world, not a "I am Neymar, the best once every 3 years". The first few games will be decisive I think.

Had no idea til now that they're having female referees in a men's world cup for the first time. Can't wait for all the man babies to cry about it
Re: FIFA World Cup 2022
I never understood this attitude. You should actually wish for them to do such a good job that nobody comments on them being women. That would do more good for women that causing lots of people to be angry or pissed about it.Guest wrote: ↑14 Nov 2022, 22:24Had no idea til now that they're having female referees in a men's world cup for the first time. You live in a fantasy land if you think no one will comment on them being women, even if they do a good job. Misogyny is rife among football fans and I love seeing misogynists cry.Guest wrote: ↑14 Nov 2022, 22:39I never understood this attitude. DA Christ react if/when it happens but actually looking forward to it (‘can’t wait’) is a strange attitude. And TBF you’re right, Nations League does seem like overkill for big guns and I’m still not sure entirely how it actually works
Less enthused by this WC than previous tourneys (it’s winter, it’s weird!) but I’m one of the few Scots who wishes the England mens team well so I’ll be rooting for them
Re: FIFA World Cup 2022
Thought Denmark's new kits were hilariously bad but then read it's for political reasons. Good on them I guess.
