issue for spurs is they had their best year last season which gave them some leverage in the transfer market to really improve their squad - and they have completely failed to do so. James and Spence make their midfield better, no doubt about that but the rest are not convincing. Doesn't even seem like Skinner has a plan for what to do with half of them? Turner is not the answer at RB (shes also too slow for CB), and not a single one of the attackers looks like improving on last years. Cannot understand them letting the likes of Daly go to Villa when they surely had a bigger budget and could compete for her signing?
Honestly my heart sank when I found out we had signed Turner, I knew then that Skinner was going to start tinkering with our perfectly good defensive line. Ash Neville deserves an England call up, dont know why it's taking so long, she's class.

Daly came back to the wsl to be near her family/Millie T. She was never going to sign for a London based club, if her leaving the nwsl under different circumstances then yes I think spurs would have been favourite to get her.

Frohms hasn't had the best of starts to her time at Wolfsburg. Looks shaky at crosses and with her feet.

I know it's not really appropriate but I think it's cute that Mapi reposted Pinoe's instastory. Just because she used to be such a Pinoe fangirl.
It must mean a lot to her.

Cerci not yet available. Achcińska injured during the summer and unfortunately not replaced (bad decision). Result: Köln was harmless. Leverkusen deserves the 3 points.

Agree with you

I was checking Köln's top scorers last season, and they were Islacker and Barret. Leverkusen managed to shut down Islacker yesterday, hence their offensive was no longer working. They need another scorer until Cerci is fit.

The fight for rhe 3rd place should be feisty looking at the results from last week.
Time has come for another Bayern player loan  Maxi Rall?

Ffs at least 1 point for Hoffenheim would have been fine not only for the team but for the league as well. Hope the season will not be as boring as expected.

I loved that the crowd whistled when Jule scored. I am so weird. (I know Germany doesn´t pull the biggest crowds but the atmosphere is great! They feel loud. Like they truly know their football shit and are not just there because its cheap or anything...)

I'm just home from the Emirates today and wow what a great day to be an arsenal fan.
Overall it was a quality atmosphere but there was some booing of the spurs players which I thought was a bit uncalled for.

Ashleigh Neville is so annoying! Without her stopping everything arsenal would have won by lots more!

They really don't care how they look to the rest of the world? and they know the remaining players on the team come into training with the mindset that Spain is not going to win the WC. Crazy.

As somebody else allready mentioned unfortunately for them only the uswnt has that type of leverage over a federation in soccer. Only if the men's team in Spain would get involved it might change the tide.

Thinking about going to Kingsmeadow tomorrow. Anyone else going? I usually drive and they’re apparently shutting the road to the stadium 90 minutes prior to kick off. Anyone know if you’re still allow to park there? Also I’ve seen that they still want to see proof of negative covid test/proof of double vaccination. Any other teams doing this?

Yeah they don’t care about wining pretty much
Cause u not winning shit with a C team and a toxic locker room
Like imagine the locker room for the next game, I feel bad for those players that go cause u will feel the tension and they know they ain’t winning
It’s a mess as long vilda is there in a any way
But I’m proud of the 17 , but disappointed by some like jenni and Madrid players
For those who go don’t got my support cause they know the issues and still accept to go , nope I can’t respect that u backstabbing your coworkers

Sorry I don’t know anything about the road closures but I’d be very very very surprised if they were checking covid stuff, where did you see that?

I also went, a mate that is an Arsenal member invited me. It was so full and I loved that you could tell many members that probably normally support the men's team where there chanting away, even the Beth Meade is on fire one lol.

There were also some tiny girls and boys (they looked like 6-7) on the top level from us that were in the balcony and knew all the chants, even the ones against Tottenham. They didn't stop singing and shouting during the whole match. I was expecting them to shout "You wanker" at certain time lol. It was great to see, amazing atmosphere.
