Finally my favorite sports is back. Can't wait for the races to start 🙌🏾

I saw the warm up runs in Sweden and Norway. Elvira øberg looks to be at her best right now. Marta looks confident and with speed. And Vittozzi seems to be back in shape.
Eckhoff on the other hand seemed slow compared to her usual speed and Wierer also didn't look ready.
I think the French women looked ready.
What do you think?

I am giddy with excitement this morning. I even joined a fantasy league this year. I am relying heavily on the French to do well because the Norwegians were too expensive to have more than 1!

I wonder how the wax techs will do with the new rules. It might even things out for smaller teams for a few weeks.

Darya! It will be interesting to see how much the Chinese have improved in their year away! They have her ski style down anyways!

They have banned fluorocarbons on the skis.

There are some start nerves to spot 😄 A lot of misses already in the first shooting.

Summer biathlon, the methodone I need at this time of year.

There was no shooting meltdown from Vittozzi, that is such a relief. And a fist bump with Wierer at the end, harmony in the Italian camp??

The Ukrainians were back too. I was scared they had been spending the last 5 months on top of buildings sniping the Russians.

My thoughts from the WC.
Getting the males out of the way, as much as I love JTB as a biathlete I am glad he did not win everything. I do wish it was others who beat him rather than the Swedes. The women's races were so much more exciting!

All praise to Lisa Vittozzi. I was so delighted for her and the Italian team. After the last couple of years and the painful prone shooting, I am glad she has the mental fortitude to beat her demons. Doro might stick around for another season or 3. Herrmann needs to stick around to guide the young ones. They really look up to her.
The relay and the mass start were races I can happily go back and watch for years to come.
Linn Persson showed that she is catching up with the Obergs. She is so calm all the time.
Tanrevold was not chill at all but as she said herself when she slowed down the first couple of laps in the mass start she was finally able to perform.
There was plenty of young talent on display all getting ready for 2026.
Everything is a little muted without Trill. I hope she can make the best decision for herself. I will miss her effervescence if she never comes back.
I am sitting here bored because I have no races to watch tonight :sadangel:

On to the rest of the season, Elveria should be back to full steam after a rest so I am expecting a good fight between her and Julia (and hopefully Lisa) right to the last race!

i only knew her
Sandra Flunger the austrian who is now succesful with the swiss team
in the interview she says there are no problems with the athletes
bit its not easy as a female because males are dominating as trainers
and she waited with her coming out till she had the right partner
