- Sam had her dirndl bow on the right in September which implies that she was in a relationship
I have a new theory about this:
If she was with anyone at the time I think it was most likely Aoife Colvill. They used to hang out a lot even though they played for different clubs, they went on holiday together last summer, Aoife has pictures wearing Sam’s hat, bracelet and shirt, their friends joked a bunch about them soft launching in early 2023 (see Sam’s post about the Scotland Australia game for example).
Then they stopped interacting with each other’s posts shortly after the move, don’t appear to have hung out when Sam went home recently (that’s why I looked into it now) and Aoife hasn’t followed Syd. It could easily just be friends growing apart with distance of course, but if the bow wasn’t a mistake (or Sam had another even more super secret bf
) I think she is the most likely option.
