It's super lame. They need to reopen the Williamson thread for real
they need to just start banning people who troll. it’s fucking boring and annoying at this point. i’m guessing a lot of these people also troll on other threads with other things too.
They just should have never closed the Williamson thread in the first place.
ok. there were tolls before the leah thread, trolls while it was open, trolls will still exist when it’s unlocked, and trolls will exist for a long time after the leah thread is done. that thread being closed definitely contributes to the problem in here, i’m not denying that. but overall since the world cup the amount of trolls on this site has just absolutely skyrocketed. look at the international thread. the only way to completely solve the problem is if the moderators got a bit of a grip and started to actually ban people.
I'm not looking to solve LC. I just want the quality of discussion, yes sometimes even the shitty nonsense bits about Toone/Russo shipping and whatnot, over the ass-shittery that is talking about Leah Williamson's anything. So I just want the Leah Williamson threads to be reopened so we can be saved from that ultra-annoying aspect of woso spaces.

Agreed.

Also, in terms with the baity trolls on this thread, it doesn’t help that people give in and reply to things. These trolls post the exact same things in the international thread and are just completely ignored, so it never turns into a mess on there. They’ve got their other issues for sure though lol.

So this Henry VIII musical actress is supposed to be Jordans new girlfriend?

I guess Leah wouldn't walk around in bras like that woman or is that the musical costume in a new version of Jane Seymour... well what was the order of that old verse ? "Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, surived..." But that was Henry's order.
She definitely would. Except Leah just has a manly body to go along with it.

saying leah has a manly body is laughable. she’s literally got a small frame, isn’t that muscly at all, etc. just because she has abs doesn’t make it manly. god, abeg some of you go out and get a life. see some actual human bodies.
She has a slim frame and no curves. I guess manly is the wrong word. Pre-pubescent teenage boy makes more sense.
Stop this. I seriously didn’t think I’d hear a woman attack another women’s body. What’s actually wrong with you? I don’t even like Leah Williamson but this is so horrible man
Very unlikely to be a woman writing that :blinkwide:

Jordan posted for her retirement so they seem all good. They have a lot to relate over with Sarina too. I reckon they’ll bring Steph on for the last game surely? Even at the end of it?
Whether they share any opinions on Sarina, only the two of them will know. But I don't think there's too much to relate to there. Steph never got called up again and never really understood why, whereas Jordan did get called up on and off again. Jordan has more to relate to with Zelem and Lucy S than Steph in that regard.
Now why Sarina didn't call up Steph Houghton again after the pre-Euros camp really would be an interesting discussion, especially since Sarina's treatment of another captain coming back after injury has differed so much. Was there more to it?
I think it just boils down to the following:

1. Sarina didn't want Steph as England captain going forward
2. Sarina didn't see Steph as essential to a transitioned England team going forward
3. Sarina likes Leah as captain

I think it's all of that wrapped up in the fact that you can't explain the merit of your being excluded when it's not really based on merit.

Like look at Sarina's most recent call-ups. Imagine her trying to explain some of those to any number of competing players who are playing consistent minutes and performing at club and not receiving a callup.
Agreed.

Also have to consider age. Realistically, after winning the Euros and be successful, why would Sarina look back on a player that was older and decide to integrate her into the squad? She’d (and she has) just focus on integrating younger players and building them into the squad.

Unfortunately I think the age thing is why Sarina isn’t calling up the likes of Parris. Because she doesn’t see them in the squad long term so would rather spend time bringing up younger players/focusing on the players that are already there.
I think Sarina needs/needed (think the boat has sailed at this point) a better transition strategy that should have leveraged more of the established senior talent rather than beating a dead horse with the same players for "consistency" or as I like to call it, stagnancy.

I would argue the transition for Euros 22 worked out without Steph because there was already a deep enough backline without her.

Now I feel England doesn't have a deep enough of anything.

Jordan said sth like it was her home for the past 12 years back then and she had met some of the "best people" there and Leah said that Jordan was "obviously" [a] "legend". So it is all part of their life. In the past yes, but still part of their life. Why does everything have to be about the "current" life and "news"? History is a field as well that has its place.

Dear god this is all so old now. This is what happens when post-Euros ESLers "discover" old ships on tiktok and binge edits comprised of old shit.

I pray for an English-speaking country to win the Olympics so these post-Euros ESLers can become post-Paris ESLers who can go be annoying about some other nation's historic couples. Like maybe Canada can fluke win it again and these losers can get obsessed with Erin McLeod and Ella Massar (Erin saved Ella from her internalised homophobia y'all! Go get lost in that please)

Maybe? I’m not sure tbh, just thought they’d give her a moment. Especially if they’re about to win the league
Chelsea will win the league :fingcross: but it'd be bittersweet for City to win it and Steph retiring
I can't see Chelsea winning the league this season to be completely honest I do think City will win it however Chelsea have a good chance of winning the champions league.
Please tell me the reasoning of why you think Chelsea can beat Barca and PSG/Lyon but not Liverpool, Bristol, Spurs, Man Utd?

Man City might drop points now without Bunny. They have Arsenal. And they struggled with Villa last season.
Chelsea will drop points against Manchester united I feel. If Chelsea beat barca tomorrow then I think they have a good chance of going all the way I have a feeling chelsea are going to drop points in the league and city will have the advantage as they are playing less games
LC Curse aside, I actually think Chelsea will beat MU as a bounceback from the FA Cup loss. Also Hayes needs the points to keep in contention for 1/2 available trophies so she's probably double-downing on the verbal abuse in the locker room.

Reason 100 why there needs to be a Leah thread. Stop comparing them. You can talk Jordan without it being brought back to Leah.
Leah and Jordan was huge, it's not easy to forget
:bigcry:

 :'([/spoiler]
Honestly anyone that still hung up on this doesn’t want them to be happy. There is nothing about their lives that fit together anymore. If you want them together, you just want them to be sad. They’ve both grown up, they’ve both moved on and for the first time in years they both seem happy. At the same time. Please give this a rest

I reckon they won't? I dunno it would seem a bit lame to me if they brought on a player who wouldn't have been brought on a sub anyway, like just a bit too performative.

Jordan posted for her retirement so they seem all good. They have a lot to relate over with Sarina too. I reckon they’ll bring Steph on for the last game surely? Even at the end of it?

Yeah, they were never on bad terms. All professional there.

But is Steph even on the pitch nowadays?

I just realised Steph Houghton and Jordan Nobbs are the only players to play in every season of WSL and Steph will play her last game with Jordan. It’s like a passing of the torch. They were Captain/Vice Captain of England for a bit together too. That’s kinda cute, hope we get a hug or something. Assume they’re still on ok terms?

Whether they share any opinions on Sarina, only the two of them will know. But I don't think there's too much to relate to there. Steph never got called up again and never really understood why, whereas Jordan did get called up on and off again. Jordan has more to relate to with Zelem and Lucy S than Steph in that regard.

DA It's clear there's a Leah troll trying to make discussing her A Thing. Agree x100 the mods need to reopen the Williamson thread for these desperate acts.

Leah’s started following Jess on instagram
Jess not following her back? Alex is going to have do that thing where you defend your partner to your mate. “No she’s LOVELY. She’s just not great with social media”. I don’t get great vibes from Jess you know. But they’re gonna get married
Jess also gives me bad vibes but tbf she’s been on this morning today, so wouldn’t be surprised if she was doing a whole media day. Also she probably gets loads of followers daily so doesn’t have that particular notification on anyway
