I get OP's points, but I also think we shouldn't be so quick to judge.
I am all for natural beauty, I don't like make up and really admire the (many) athletes that don't wear any and I agree, Iga is beautiful as she, she doesn't need it.
that said, she is still young, and it's okay to explore and experiment. this is true when it comes to her image as well. she may have said that she didn't like make up in the past, but she can changed her mind, maybe has found a way to use it that she likes?
everyone should feel free to try new things, even out of their comfort zone. if this is what's happening, I'm okay with it.

the reason i mention insecurity is cause she's been talking recently about how her body looks "too masculine". it's really sad, actually.

DA. I agree with the post above. Even though it could be some insecurity like some of you say (also, some time ago she said she didn't want to appear "too masculine" and people often make dumb questions and comments about her dressing styles or her being "a man" because she usually doesn't dress very feminine) but honestly she looks so good and hot to me here.

And the style in these photos isn't even trying so hard to be feminine, what makes it the most feminine is just the lipstick, and what else besides that? Without the lipstick, it's pretty minimalistic and basic. And the black clothing looks classy. It surprised me a little and I like the overall result very much

It's not on the same level of "very feminine" session I rememeber Daria Kasatkina once did a few years ago (and joked about it some time ago in a video haha) where she wore fem dresses, heels, striking funny teasing poses and recently said that she didn't know what she was doing there lol.
lga's photoshoot seems balanced, imo.

Plus, they took a photo with the blazer on as well, it can be found on Lancome's IG too in their Iga post. So it doesn't seem like they're trying to erase that side of her.

They're just pretending to be friendly to Iga. They all understand this, and Daria understands it very well.

Well, another example might be another alpine skier Lindsey Vonn, who was invited to a player's box during the US Open 2022. Of course, it turns out Daria is a big fan of hers. In one of the interviews, Iga even talked about how she took a picture with the singer Seal during the last US Open. Namely, Daria told her who he was and that she should approach him. So, I wouldn't be surprised if Daria was a fan of his and also took a picture with him.

OMG what nonsense about childhood idol, Daria is older 7 years than her and Mikaela is just a good example of a successful female athlete, I think Daria found her story kind of inspiration for Iga

I know that Abramowicz is older than Shiffrin. What I meant was that Daria has been a big fan of Shiffrin for years (mainly because she speaks about 'mental health'). My mistake.

Iga suddenly had Daria and she probably felt that everything is okay, there is no need to change or resolve anything, she can play her tennis and Daria understands that, supports that. Iga thought that it gives her the stability to continue her tennis.

can you share more examples? i'm starting to understand what you mean. i know some people suspect iga may be autistic. if that's true, it would explain a few things. autistic people generally take others at face value and can take a bit longer to develop an "adult"'s way of thinking (i.e. taking longer to realize that other people can be cruel and manipulative). that's why autistic women in particular are abused so often. i don't mean that she's still a child mentally, but that i agree she is naive. if daria is taking advantage of that naivete then that is truly heartbreaking.

Well, I don't consider Iga stupid, but she is certainly naive, as evidenced by many of her statements on non-tennis topics. Regarding the claim that Daria does not take advantage of Iga, I obviously disagree. An example of how Daria takes advantage of her acquaintance with Iga is Iga's relationship with Mikaela Shiffrin. Before Iga met Daria, she had no interest in alpine skiing and had no idea who Shiffrin was. Unlike Daria, for whom Shiffrin was a childhood idol. Daria convinced Iga to publicly speak about Shiffrin, thereby initiating a relationship between them. As a result, Daria has already met her idol (interestingly, Iga has not yet met Shiffrin in person). There are, of course, more examples like this.
