Omg hahaha the fact she didn’t deny
But she's the most boring one on social media 🤣
"I keep to myself, so I'd like to keep it that way" . She is soooooo not as innocent away from a camera!

Also, the Tillies deleting comments about Katie on their IG? I swear when I looked before a couple people had mentioned Alanna "confirming" Cait & Katie, but they're not there now??
Yes they are deleting them, as they should. Fans are taking things way, way too far. Being invasive is comfortable for fans now when it shouldn’t be. There is no need to comment about thinking Alanna did something to confirm a relationship. Imagine how uncomfortable that would be for her???? Come on.
Wasn't asking it as a negative thing. Love that they have and are deleting them. Whether Cait sent a text and asked them to, or they've done it off their own back, there's no need for the comments to be there. We all know Caitlin & Katie are together, and they're not the focus of the video. It was one little passing comment from Lans. The one comment that is up, originally had everyone tagged in it and they've re-said it without the tags.. from memory the other comment I saw also had Lani tagged.
There was an account, no idea if it’s the same one, who commented on the Tillies post congratulating Ellie and Daan on their engagement thanking Lani for pointing out Ellie’s engagement ring ahead of time. Those comments were deleted too. So either it’s an Alanna fan (or fans plural if not the same account in both instances) who thinks they’re doing something by giving her props and not realizing they’re being invasive, or it’s an overly invasive fan who has forgotten that these are real people and thinks this behavior is fine when it is not

Personal choice is most likely. Steph does all kinds of fun content and she’s the captain. Ellie and EVE do fun things too. It’s not that Sam got “buttoned up” it’s way more likely that the fun stuff just isn’t her vibe. Not everyone wants to see 500 clips of themselves online from fans from one interview lol and I would put Sam in that category
She’s probably just busier at every camp to film content. She always gets involved in funny videos from Chelsea and back when she played in the NWSL. Just not as many for the Tillies but she’s captain sooooo probably at press conferences and media duties etc.
Media duties rotate. It’s never just Sam who does it. Her not participating in the fun stuff is personal choice. And she’s allowed to make that choice. Look at what has happened with this short interview between Mac/Lani/Caitlin. There are clips of it everywhere now. You can’t blame Sam for not wanting that. Her “do youse not work on it” clip from Kristie’s documentary was everywhere instantly. She’s probably just not the type who likes that part of being a public figure so she just doesn’t do it when she can opt out. She is no busier with media than anyone else
Yeah I think people forget Sam has said she’d shy around strangers or in new environments. Being fun for the cameras is probably not her vibe. We know she’s goofy in the lockers based on what many of the girls have said, her public persona has just been more serious as she’s taken on more responsibility and matured.

I hope so! People need to remember this is Caitlin’s workplace essentially. But I saw one comment and looked at the profile and it was a 12 year old lol. So I think those that do comment that type of stuff are normally not mature adults anyway.
Yeah there is a random account who keeps posting saying “thanks Lani for confirming Caitlin and Katie” and tagging them all, so cringe. Their comment gets deleted and then they repost a new comment.

Not sure if Cait has seen all the deleted comments or not but she has liked the post on IG, whatever that's worth.

Can all of the tweets with little clips from this video be one thread where they’re all replies in one spot instead of a bunch of individual ones please? It’ll keep the thread neater and will allow for anyone who maybe hasn’t watched it in full yet or whatever to avoid having things spoiled by little clips.
Would it actually kill you to go 5 minutes without telling people what to do?
It's FINE. Stop policing this thread like you own it! Every other convo on this thread is people trying to control what others post. It's annoying as hell. More annoying than any of the actual convos taking place before people like you butt in.
And no one is being "spoiled" ffs, it's a silly interview and the main link to the full video was posted before any of the clips anyway.

Daan is also a lot more confident when she speaks English now. I remember their DAZN interview in 2022 she was struggling to say some words (marsupial was one lol) and instead of pressuring her Ellie patiently waited while she sounded it out and repeated the word back to her. You’d naturally pick up tendencies that way. Daan def has an Aussie twang now lol it’s cute. Ellie’s has evolved too and when you consider that she’s learning Dutch as well as French it makes sense that it is kind of melting together a bit. How dedicated she has been to learning that language has been so sweet. It’s a tough one to learn but she jumped right in
By the way, that is another tell tale indicator at least, not to say sign, that people "spend much time together or have had meaningful (to them) conversations over a period of time, when their accents become similar. Another example of this would be (since Danielle van de Donk was just mentioned) Miedema who just sounded like Scottish Lisa Evans after all those years. But hey, who in Europe says marsupial everyday since they are only to be found in zoos up here).
Miedema's Scottish accent will never not be funny to me (I think she didn't speak great english when she met her ex and that is why her accent is so strong now).

I have noticed Ellie's accent has softened quite a bit these last couple of years. She used to sound (and I mean no disrespect) like an absolute bogan. I suppose spending your days with people form whom english is not their first language you would naturally learn to speak in a more "neutral" accent.
Two things:
1. The "OL accent" is actually across the OL team or at the very least players who have been there +2 seasons. I think it's partly because OL imposes mandatory French lessons for their international players (for good cause - learn the local language!), and because of that the accent naturally becomes more diluted. Even subconsciously your brain starts to pick up the cadence of the second language and because of that, the intonation of your primary language begins to change. Your brain is literally adapting to its environment. #LinguisticsIsMyPassion

2. Daan and Ellie get a lot of hate (see the recent anon comments) but I think it really gets overlooked how much a relationship must mean to someone if they are willing to learn a completely different foreign language ... just because the person you like speaks it. Usually language is separated into categories: A is your primary language, B is your second language, C is your third, etc. For Ellie, obviously English is her first, so A language. French would - arguably - be her second, and that's just because she's been at OL longer than she has known Daan. The team also speaks French, she's living in France, all of that good stuff. But she deliberately chose to pick up a C language simply because Daan speaks it. There was no other reason for her to learn Dutch.

Like, Dutch isn't an easy language to learn. It's really not. But Ellie still learnt it, by choice, because Daan is Dutch, and so she knows that learning Dutch would mean a lot to Daan. Like if you think about it Ellie didn't have to learn Dutch because Daan already speaks English. But she still made a point to learn Dutch, and now is good enough in it that she can at the very least respond to written comments in it.

Everyone has their own way of showing they care. But learning a whole language for someone just because you speak it? That's easily the most romantic shit someone can do for you, hands down.
This is an incredibly well written comment. Thank you! She really did decide to learn a third language simply because the person she loves speaks it. There was no club requirement, it wouldn’t really make her life easier since as you said Daan already speaks English. No incentive in it other than wanting to communicate with the person she loves in *their* primary language. So sweet
Oh I love this. It’s such a loving thing to do, learning a whole new language just because the person you love speaks it. I’m sure when life calms down a little (baby, injury, Harper starting school, just life) Mini will learn more Swedish too. Especially because both of her kids in addition to her wife will speak it!

What’s the point of coming in here to “speculate” (it’s just trolling) about a couple, specifically Daan and Ellie in the current moment, breaking up because of life circumstances changing? That’s literally life. Daniëlle is going to retire. It doesn’t mean they’re going to break up. Look at Magda and Pernille, they spent many years playing apart and are still together, it’s year ten now. Ellie and Daan won’t be doing any playing on different teams. They will be adjusting to Daan not playing and whatever that’s going to look like. Mini and Clara have done that. Meeks and her wife Kirsty did that. Acting like they’re certain to break up due to life changing a bit is pointless. Why do you want that?? Breakups can happen for a limitless variety of reasons. Staying together through life changes is not some kind of rare phenomenon. It’s just life and what every couple on the planet does.
People here speculate about every little boring thing to an annoying extent. You probably participate in it. Keep the same yapping energy for all the other useless speculation that happens

So interesting to me how her accent has evolved over the last few years. Ellie’s has too. Both are much softer versions of what they were before. Like you can tell Daan is Dutch but it’s not so intense, the same way you can tell Ellie’s Australian but it’s not as heavy now. It’s likely a combo of softening it so they are easier to understand since many of their teammates are French/predominantly speak French, learning French themselves, and living with each other so adopting some of each others tendencies
Daan is also a lot more confident when she speaks English now.

So sweet

Presuming it was filmed in the US, but Cait wearing her claddagh will be the confirmation or not. And Macca's scar, ahah.
Hmmm Macca doesn’t look to have the scar in the thumbnail, so will be interesting! I’m thinking Dubai…but then why wait so long to release it?!
Wouldn't be the first time Mac's scar has been photoshopped out recently 😂. With Lani in a jumper, I wouldn't put it past it being filmed in Melbourne, if we're thinking it's not from Florida. The days leading up to the Melb game after they landed weren't particularly hot. As anon said above though, Macca's scar and Cait's claddagh will be the tell tale signs. Easy enough to photoshop a photo rather than the video. We'll find out in just over an hour.
Youfoodz photoshopped her scar out on all the photos but you can see it still bandaged in the video. So doubt the tillies will have managed to cut it out of the video, so if her scar is there we know it was filmed in the most recent camp. I’m sure the jacket alanna has on was only used in the latest camp, it’s a newer darker one I hadn’t seen before that a few wore in their media stuff.
You can see Lani & Macca wearing it in Melbs on slide 4.

Isn’t that the old teal sort of colour one? This is a new blue one I thought? Anyway, guess we will find out soon!

Oh, that is a really good point because she definitely had that scar at the Texas camp. Could this possibly have been filmed in the Dubai camp?

Judging by Alana’s jacket which was new stuff at the last camp, have they photoshopped Macca’s scar out 😂😂

Think it's something they typically do. Film a lot of content, mull over, edit it and post later on. Like the Harper squad announcement. That was filmed in Canada but used for the Uzbekistan games.

TRIO CONTENT DROPPING TONIGHTYTTTT
AHHHHHH YESSSSSSSS. So excited. Have Marildas done “team chat” videos before or is this a new thing?
They did one in 2022 with Steph, Lydia & Chloe. Not sure if they’ve done any others.
OOOHH just watched the Steph & Lydia vid, hosted by Chloe. It's pretty near identical to best friends quiz part 1 & 2. So tonight is def going to be part 3!! I wonder who is going to host this time, Cait or Mac???

Leaving part 1 & 2 for a rewatch (if you don't do it regularly, haha)
Here is the original best friends quiz they did in 2019. Love they're averaging one every 2 or so years, haha.

Lmao the way Lans was the worst best friend first and then it was Cait in the second one. Guess it should be Mac's turn for the third one 😂😭🤣

Everyone has their own way of showing they care. But learning a whole language for someone just because you speak it? That's easily the most romantic shit someone can do for you, hands down.

Well, I think it might not be so much "for the other person" but rather "for themselves" because in these kind of relationships people want sth from the other woman, and in this case it is wanting to be like them which entails their mother tongue. Pun not intended. There is a different type of dynamic in same sex relationships. :spy:
Apart from that let's not forget that they have a significan age gap as well which probably plays a role in their relationship dynamic as well even though Carpenter is a very experienced footballer for her age. Danielle seems caring and affectionate, so that is probably another aspect that pulled her apart from the common soccer interest and career. Even though one has to admit that maybe Carpenter wants to rather impress van de Donk by learning Dutch which seems to be yet another part of that kind of relationship dynamic in general. Women want to be impressed or rather usually it is those that are not allowed to be mentioned here that want to impress women. But impressing seems to have to take place either in both directions or someone takes over the impressing role.
^I think this is the same person who said they will break up when they don’t play for the same club anymore?
Different question: Which couple has stayed together when they didn't play at the same club or same national team anymore? Carpenter's van de Donk was with Beth Mead for as long as they played at the same club. And Carpenter and van de Donk have only been together for as long as they are at OL together which makes sense because this is where they got to know each other in the first place. The only example that comes to mind is Eriksson/Harder when Harder had her Wolfsburg interlude. But they got to know each other at Linköping FC and then played together at Chelsea and now Munich. I doubt that van de Donk will play at any Aussie club in the future, but Carpenter seems likely to stay at a European club anyway. But when van de Donk retires and does what (not sure what her future career would look like, sports commentator maybe? Any ideas?), Carpenter despite having been in the game for quite a long time, still has much time ahead of her as a player as she is only 24. some
