I love that Macca is getting recognised and is getting the sponsorships, but at the moment if feels like there's a new one every second day and it's just too much? It doesn't feel genuine or authentic. You could tell in one or two of them she was just going alone with the script of what to say. I'd rather she be more selective and really want to promote what she really loves.

Anon above mentioned Caitlin turning down a pretty big offer post world cup (gosh I'd love to know what it was), but I appreciate her doing it. Not wanting to promote something just for the sake of it.
Yeah it all seems a bit random and just a cash grab tbh. None of the brands seem HER they're just big opportunities she didn't want to turn down (fair enough). BUT I want her to be rich and happy so I'm turning a blind eye haha. She also did something with a tequila brand? I swear I saw an advert of her doing that a few months ago.

I too really want to know what Caitlin turned down. She seems to mostly do travel partnerships or sports brands opportunities. She did a Greece trip that was sponsored, and has also done hotel sponsored stuff. She did a lot of Adidas stuff during the WC, and she does promo for a UK sports retailer that is like our equivalent of Rebel Sports now.
Hasn't Macca already got a property here though? I'm sure she's doing alright. Does she want to buy property in the UK? Seems like she's basically just saying yes to everything that comes her way atm. Nothing wrong with that and all the power to her. Just seems very random as others have pointed out.
I think she’s smart to take everything she can now if she’s comfortable with it. There will probably be some new national sporting icons emerging post Olympics and the offers may slow down then.
Our swimmers normally do really well wouldn't be surprised to see a few of them great trusted into the spotlight.
Speaking of swimmers, I was very sad to see Emma McKeon announce this is her final Olympics. Going a bit off topic so back to Macca, I agree. I think she's doing the right thing, making the best of the opportunities she's been given. No one really expected the tillies to become as massive as they have and while the WC put our girls in the spotlight, no one knows how long that will last so yeah, I think Macca is doing the right thing. Really would like to know what and why Cait turned something down right after the WC. Wonder if it could've been a timing thing because she had to get back to London for Arsenal duties.

Bloody hell just saw another Macca sponsored post for Old El Paso (the mexican tacos/seasoning brand). So in the last few weeks/months she has advertised for:
  • Old El Paso
  • Nespresso
  • You Foodz
  • Dyson
  • Kia
  • Just Jeans
  • Amazon Flex
I feel like there is one or two I'm missing off the top of my head. Anyway she is getting close to sell-out territory. Some of the brands are so random.

She also had an acai bowl sponsorship in maybe October? It was just after Kyra got her place, I remember the comments between the two and Teyah about it. But it looks as if she's deleted that reel. What's the UK sports retailer she's promoting? I don't think I've noticed that. The prodirectsoccer video the other day is the first thing in aaaaaages I've seen her be a part of.

Yep Lani and Caitlin have also done a few. And Mini.

I do wonder tho if Macca will get overexposed, especially doing multiple paid posts a week. I’m soooo pro her getting that bag and think she’s doing the right thing to capitalise at the peak of her fame, but she was promoting you foods (or something similar) only a few days ago, now it’s Nespresso. From the top of my head she’s also done just jeans, her new book series, and Kia all in the last 6 weeks or so. Busy girl!
I think she’s being very smart in making the most of the opportunities whilst they are there. Prior to the WC these opportunities would have never been there and if she can put things in place to increase her income outside of football then she should definitely do so…however, I hope her social media doesn’t just become promo after promo. Some of it like her hearing aid ambassador role, the book series and stuff like that is super cool and she should absolutely be proud to show that off. But other stuff like the youfoodz (which she’s never previously shown herself to be eating), and the Dyson hair dryer the other day is clearly just paid ads that she’s not even using the products. I hope that doesn’t become the type of stuff she’s involved with moving forward. Like, sure get the bag and I don’t blame her for wanting as much money as possible but I hope she keeps it real too.
From a marketing person perspective, Macca is right for some of the deals she signed up.... Nespresso (she use the products and love it), Dyson, Nike. However I also wonder if she's overly exposed.

The Aussies who are marketable are Macca, Kerr, Fowler, Ellie, Raso, Mini, Catley....
No I'm not naming my favourite. It's from a marketing perspective. Some Tillies are cute and/or pretty but they do not have the appeal. Some need to play more for the exposure.
Caitlin Foord turned down a big brand deal that I know of just after the WC. Some are more picky as to what they’re wanting to do and that’s fine. In the agency I work at Kerr, Fowler, Foord and Raso are the ones people want to pitch to. Not surprisingly it’s the goal makers.
Who will vegemite sponsor if they are keen to?
I'm so glad the girls are getting the money and recognition.
Probably not one individual. Considering the girls ass get personalized jars when they go to camp, it’s far more likely Vegemite becomes an official snack of the Commbank Matildas or whatever. They’d def sponsor the whole team vs just one player. Caitlin’s chant having Vegemite in it means nothing really, the brands main market is Australia

I mean Caitlin’s Arsenal chant literally revolves around Vegemite lol. Would be a missed opportunity if they sponsored anyone else.
I love that at NT camps they always get personalised jars of vegemite 😂.

Could be that Caitlin is careful with her brand deals but also as she said in that recent tillies video she likes to be private on social media, which possibly effects her marketability a bit. Whereas at the moment it seems like macca is taking on anything that she gets offered (I’m sure that’s not true but you know what I mean).

I hope it doesn’t change the way she acts and shows her private life on social media

Aside from Sam who has always had sponsorships and different deals going on, the post WC deals for Macca has got to be the most that a Tillie has done? Feels like every other month she has had some sort of sponsorship, partnership, deal, ad etc going on. It has been said in here before but fair play to her management team!

Alanna is also very marketable. Cadbury, Just Jeans, Nike, O Costmetics, and various car spons to name a few. Her tattoos and style give her a lot of marketability.

You would think with the money she earns she would have at least once flew her family out to watch her play.
She bought her mum a house lol, plus some people don't enjoy international travel.
Material things are not the be all n end all she should see her child while she still can
You are clearly either not Australian or not well travelled. We are "down under" so flights to many countries including Asia is not within 3 hours. Her mum might not be able to fly because of commitments or she can't handle long flights.

Flights from Australia to Singapore is between 5-8 hours depending on where you are. Then from Singapore to London is another 13 hours.
To USA, a direct flight from Singapore to San Francisco or LA is 18 hours. If you opt for a transit and a break...Sydney to Tokyo is 10 hours. Tokyo to USA average 13-15 hours if it's direct from Tokyo and not transiting somewhere in USA. So on average flying to USA from Australia is at least 24 hours.

I'm sharing my experience based on when I was working for a MNC. I get to fly business all over and thank God I hardly fly to USA. I flew frequently to Europe so when it comes to Europe, I will sometimes top up the cash and upgrade myself to first class because it's so sickening to fly for so long. I can tell you even though it's a first class suite and I get a bed , it is not easy to fly for so long.
Please do not judge people. Her mum might not be able to handle the long flight and Foord might not be able to keep flying back to visit based on her schedule.

Aside from Sam who has always had sponsorships and different deals going on, the post WC deals for Macca has got to be the most that a Tillie has done? Feels like every other month she has had some sort of sponsorship, partnership, deal, ad etc going on. It has been said in here before but fair play to her management team!
I feel like Mary and Ellie also have big name corporate support.

Busy girl!

Nice to see Sam in good spirits. I’m curious if she’ll ever talk about this year in terms of the injury and legal issues. She seems like someone who just wants to move on quick from bad shit and focus on the present though. I guess we’ll know this week if her trial is still next year.
We actually won't. A judge has delayed the court proceeding again because the prosecution is struggling to find evidence, including cctv and witness statements. May 20th is now the new court date.
I don't get why the case isn't dropped if the prosecution can't provide any evidence. Like how much time are they going to be given and how much longer will this be delayed until it's dropped? This is insane.
I'm unfamiliar with the English legal system but it seems outrageous that the charge hasn't been dropped.

Ellie flies under the radar with her sponsors for the most part. I don’t think she has paid for a hotel stay in years, she has various resort/hotel sponsorships. She has a partnership with Microsoft and through that gifted every member of the WC squad a new Xbox. She’s both a Visa and Coca Cola sponsored athlete for the Olympics, etc. Then she has that program with Rebel to help young girls get into football in Australia. Hers aren’t flashy sponsorships necessarily but she definitely makes good money.

I hope she continues to be herself on social media and share as she always has done and doesn’t feel the need to change. It’s refreshing to see her be open and herself and she’s spoken before about how she prefers just being herself on social media, so I hope she doesn’t become too media trained and only use social media to promote stuff.

Do you see anyone else from the dub being called up or the squad staying as is for the foreseeable future? Hoping maybe Kayla Morrison can get called in sometime after the Olympics.

Will be interesting to see if (assuming Tony leaves after the Olympics) our new coach brings in anymore youth/new faces or sticks with what's there.

Probably a joke about strawberry kisses hahahha
Definitely not, that is legitimately one of Steph’s favourite songs lol it wouldn’t count as children’s music
Hey I love it too, but because it is nostalgic for my childhood lol, like I'm sure how Steph feels. That was a child (Nikki Webster) singing a child song (Strawberry Kisses). She was only 14 and the song content is literally for tweens. It would have been freaking weird if adults were bopping along to the song back in the day.

No normal person brings up the mortality of a player's parent out of nowhere. No normal person's brain goes there. It's a low thing to bring into your trolling, even for you. You're a disgusting person who deserves every bad thing you hope happens to the total strangers you abuse every day on this board.
Your rants are not making any sense. I explained it meant life is too short I didn't say anything about the mortality rate of her mum. That saying means everyone in general. Something is wrong with you the way you have twisted my words and then wished bad things on me.
Da. Don't waste your breath I think you might be arguing with a teenager who doesn't understand quotes and is probably not even Australian. I don't see anything wrong in your post
you don't see anything wrong with some know nothing troll putting down caitlin's mum, implying she only cares about material things, and saying should go see caitlin play in london before she's no longer with us?! no one has said anything like this regarding the family members of any other aussies who haven't seen their kids play in europe much or at all. trying to speak darkness into existence is horrible behavior even from you people. this troll also 1st implied it was caitlin's fault for not flying her out and when that didn't work switched to this gross "quote" as you call it. none if us know why she hasn't gone to london and it's not our place to even discuss it. learn what boundaries are. you caitlin trolls just keep going lower and lower
No I don't I agree, they shouldn't have said she should travel because we don't know why she doesn't. The comment is the same as us saying life is to short live your best life but you are pinpointing her mum when nothing was said about how long she has left to live. It's a quote and nothing wrong with it.

kinda glad raso and izzy are done. izzy was annoying me always dogging on aussie players when she does comms. like unnecessarily harsh on them compared to english players. just something i noticed and picked up on the last couple of years cause it could be a bit awkward dating someone when they're out here professionally shitting on your mates all the time
The typical i didn't really like her once they broke up you will do the same soon as Katie/Caitlin break up lol.
You bitched and begged for a Caitlin and Katie thread for months saying there was too much talk about them here, and now that there is one you're the one bringing them up? Are you brain damaged? You should have asked for what you really wanted - a thread to whine and troll about Caitlin and Katie and those who you perceive to be their fans (you don't even know if OP likes them or not.
It's true tho soon as they break up with their partners the I didn't like them begins when before it would have been stanning their relationship not just with the Aussie every woso couple.

Basically wishing ill on another person's mum is demented behaviour. I knew there was something wrong with you but fuck me you've gone above and beyond in the d!ckhead department.

There are a plethora of reasons why her mum may not be able to travel to the UK. Namely she has always appeared to be the main carer of her aging mum/Cait's nan. For Caitlin's first 2 seasons she couldn't have gone due to Covid anyway. She has travelled before to tournaments in France and Brazil so there is probably a good reason she hasn't gone to London and no input about it is needed from an arsehole like you.

No normal person brings up the mortality of a player's parent out of nowhere. No normal person's brain goes there. It's a low thing to bring into your trolling, even for you. You're a disgusting person who deserves every bad thing you hope happens to the total strangers you abuse every day on this board.

You would think with the money she earns she would have at least once flew her family out to watch her play.
She bought her mum a house lol, plus some people don't enjoy international travel.
Material things are not the be all n end all she should see her child while she still can
You're a sick fuck for saying this. I hope for your mum's sake karma isn't real when you're going around putting things like this into the world.
