Every penalty awarded to you in the knockout rounds wasn't a pen, yes even the one in the final. Argentinian players weren't sent off or not booked (Messi handball), the refereeing of Argentina was extremely favourable and in the end FIFA got the result it wanted. Only Argentina is celebrating
da
france was even robbed of a penalty, and argentina deserved more cards in that final, it was quite obvious that the referee was whistling in favor of argentina.

it remains as a "good" story "messi's world cup", something makes fifa a lot of money.
First time watching football it seems. 2nd penalty was a gift for mbappe. Sad to "win" like this when 80 mins argentina was 100% superior
you are the one who has not seen football before if you say that it was not a penalty, also in football it does not matter which team is "superior" the game is over when the referee says so, if argentina fell asleep and could not prevent france from scoring is another thing.
Are u blind or what?

France is clearly cheating with hand and the ref didnt call it and the next move is pen for france. But yeah keep talking about football when u have 0 idea. We breathe it here so keep crying.
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/fQKaP806CIQ
here is a video where it shows with another angle that it wasn't a hand, but well the Argentines are experts in touching it with the hand so I will believe you congratulations Argentina go and celebrate your first world cup won "legitimately".

Call it rigged call it what it makes you cry less but we have 3.

To the anons that wants fair at all cost. The 2nd for france wasnt either so cut the crap
https://youtube.com/shorts/don-LtpCicE?feature=share
nobody cares about ronaldo and that stupid "rivalry", nobody has even mentioned it here, only you guys. argentina is so focused on messi that they believe that anyone who speaks negatively about you is because they hate him, when it is simply that you are a complete nuisance, if it wasn't for messi nobody would have supported you.

also the first 2 argentina cups were won with proven cheating, and a third one with a very dubious refereeing.
but well the Argentinians have always been proud of winning with cheating, that's nothing new, go celebrate it.

No one’s crying over it. If you point out some behaviours, people go on and say “but some did this or that” blah blah blah. How about the World Cup champions setting up some standard and perhaps behaving like champions with some class? Yeah, that’s what I thought. Nothing wrong in criticising some odd actions.

Yeah remind them they won and it's ok to let mbappes name go and celebrate their win instead. If i was mbapppe i would laugh my ass off about how much i rule their mind. Salty ass winners.
They still WON... Football is also this Theo Hernandez did worse when Milan won the scudetto
People sad because Argentina won so they are complaining about being classy winners but i assure you nobody really cares
World cup is over normal seasonal matches are starting again... it is really time to move on
No one would care if Argentina would mind their own business and not drag france into it after winning. No one actually cares they won. I remember both Spain and France win and their fans just focussed on supporting their player. It was fun. Here Argentina is the one who still looks salty af despite winning. Just go enjoy your win and forget about france. Not like you gonna have many of these without messi anyways, is that why your players still look a bit scared of their opponents? Sorry for their loss
What do you expect from Argentina they are stupid, no wonder they act like one :eyeroll:

regardless of how many times you repeat same words it won't change the fact that argentina is salty, will quote someone from another site - 'there are sore losers and argentina is a sore winner'

Congratulations Argentina, now you have the same number of titles as Pelé.

And Martinez can't forget Mbappe. Argentina and her fans are the most arrogant and insufferable team ever. Can you imagine what it would be like seeing Argentina losing the finals again
Thanks Fifa.
DA

Them bringing up Mbappe is really in poor taste. Just enjoy your victory and show some class and be an example for young fans. Nope, they’re uneducated idiots with no class. Mbappe scored 4 freaking times against Martinez in one match, but he continues to taunt him. Get a grip.

Stupid people will keep abusing black players. More education is needed and as well some consequences on social media. But this is a big if and not when, unfortunately.

Please be serious; his save at the last seconds of extra time alone is worth more than any stupid stats.
9 out of 10 times, that 1v1 would've ended in a goal, and he singlehandedly kept his country in.

I know people in this thread can't stand/hate Argentina, but there is no reason to start acting like the man didn't deserve it.

These awards are always given to the players who reached the final, by the way, so it was either him or Lloris.
DA
no the awards are not given only to the finalists, literally the award in 2018 was given to Courtois, the award is a general statistic to the best goalkeeper of the world cup, martinez had a good final but he was not the best goalkeeper of the world cup.

It seems funny but it's definitely not something someone would do in a situation like this. He is literally a jerk.

Men are so immature but this particular guy always seemed like an absolute jerk to me. It is perhaps the very definition of the obsession with this sport and its sporting glories. Nasty.

I think I'll stick with the Olympics as my favorite international sporting event. :$
