There are recent photos of Paige and random girls on UConn’s campus on TT but they’re all innocent enough. But there’s one photo and it’s Paige in the middle of two brunettes and Paige looks less than sober lol.
Yeah it does feel a little deliberate. First they step out at the biggest event in WBB together, with Azzi pretty obviously as Paige’s plus one and Paige wearing possibly the dykiest fit imaginable. They had to know what that was gonna look like. I even saw a bunch of normies on Twitter ask if they’re dating. Then they’re posting couple-y pics and tiktoks together and commenting on each other’s stuff, which they hadn’t done since the tiktok live fiasco last summer.
I know they probably can’t hard launch while they’re still at UConn together but they might be very slowly working their way towards it. They’ll certainly want to once Paige gets to the league next year because we all know jersey chasing in the W is a real thing and those women will be on Paige at levels never before seen if they think she’s single lol
Da If I was them, I would not want to hard launch while playing together. Then media would feel entitled to mention it. And it would take focus off what they are doing on the court.
That said, is it an open secret? Because it was weird how multiple analysts mentioned early in the season they thought Paige would stay another year to play with Azzi. Like that extreme level friendship.
I thought they were going with the story that Paige lost a year because of the injury. Which happens to be true. But to stay for a woman? Naw that’s not a story they need to be running with cause it would absolutely overshadow what they’re trying to accomplish. And that’s getting a Natty.
That’s the biggest reason Paige has said publicly but the point was that before Paige even said anything about it many analysts just assumed Azzi would be the primary reason she’d stay. Which would be kind of a weird assumption to make for a friendship. DA
True tea. And to be real, they don’t have to say anything, they can just exist. We don’t need another Kit Connor situation.
What makes me nervous are these women that are after Paige. This isn’t fantasy, this is the current reality. Hell it got Azzi to post on her socials after a long hiatus. I have never seen anything like this as it pertains to a female college basketball player. A lot of it is online sure, but some of these girls go to UConn. Paige can’t be getting caught up in no wild DM situation or get caught slipping and mess up the vibes on the team. We won’t need it.
