I can’t stop laughing at Harry Kane as a spurs fan. how do you go to Bayern and win zero trophies

Ngl, I feel a little bit bad for Klopp, cause his farewell is being so shit.

United and Chelsea just played the funniest game today and Cole Palmer got the worst hattrick of the season.
And just like that, Cole Palmer scores a perfect hattrick and a penalty on top of that lol. Can't believe he's actually the top scorer of the PL.

Re: Football/Soccer general talk

I just realized Chelsea men and Chelsea women lost their cup finals in the same way: 0-0 draw then they concede a goal at the end of extra time.

Chelsea fans celebrating like 2 of their goals weren't penalties and 1 a deflection. <_<

The top of the Premiership is gonna be TIGHT at the end of the season. Ngl I kind of want anyone but Man City to be champions, it's getting boring.
2x I really hope Man City doesn't win this. Boring is an understatement.
Arsenal fan. If we are not winning it then I hope Liverpool wins the league as a farewell present for Klopp. Pep and Klopp r class managers but the latter did a lot with much lesser $.
I agree, a Klopp farewell would be nice. And the manager market will look really interesting with Klopp, Xavi, and possibly also Tuchel and Poch leaving their clubs. Ofc half the excitment went away when Alonso said he would stay at Leverkusen, but who knows.

Not gonna lie, I was expecting the City-Arsenal game to be way more entertaining, but we got a boring 0-0 draw. I have no idea of who will win the league, the title race is still pretty open, specially when compared to Bundesliga/Serie A/La Liga.

Lukaku casually showing up for Belgium after doing nothing for club is so funny, his assist for Belgium was amazing. And I know England is missing a lot of players, but they aren't looking that fine in these friendlies.

This round of the FA Cup was so good, except for the boring City game. Wolves making a comeback just to bottle it, Chelsea bottling the 2-0 lead just to win in injury time anyway, and the ManU/Liverpool game you mentioned. Really entertaining stuff.

Lautaro Martinez is such a bottler, that penalty was one of the worst ones I have ever seen. And people thought he would redeem himself after the WC, lol.

I wish Harry Kane played for England the way he plays for Bayern Munich, it's like a different person.
He's been so good this season, but the man is cursed. Right when he goes to Bayern they're suddenly not going to win the league after 11 titles in a row.
As a spurs fan I think it’s hilarious 😂 they better not win the champions league. I need son to win a major trophy before Kane even though it’ll never happen
It is really funny lol. They won't win the Champions League tho unless some sort of miracle happens. Bayern has been shaky af and other teams like City and Inter are way stronger and more consistent.

Should we use this one now for general questions??

Please, tell me about Regina van Eijk. Fam? Why not in the national team?
People have said she’s fam, I don’t see evidence of a gf on her socials but she definitely pings hard.

As to why she’s not on the national team, she plays for the u23s. The two backup keepers called up for the seniors (Lize Kop and Jacintha Weimar) are older and have more international experience. Weimar hasn’t impressed me on her few international appearances so wouldn’t be totally shocked if Van Eijk gets brought in someday soon.

International Football Association Board (IFAB) Decided that Goalkeepers have too much of an advantage during penalty kicks and it was unfair to penalty takers - so they changed the rules to make sure GKs and their 10% save success rate stops being so unfair to the real football players.

Such complete horseshit.

https://www.football.london/arsenal-fc/ ... m-26560911

Yea I’m salty about it. Guess its a good thing my GK days are behind me. Every GK coach I had taught gamesmanship. We barely have any chance at saving it as it is. Most misses are going to be because they were off target.

My most memorable save was after I stood right in front of the pk spot while the kicker placed the ball and finally got annoyed enough to bitch at the ref cause he wasnt moving me back (like others did). It sucks enough that all the highlights are of scoring, we can’t allow a GK to one up the precious snowflake scorer

Notice how they left in the ability of the kicker to do the bullshit stutter steps and stops gamesmanship while taking a penalty though?

2 year contract so no haaland. City or Real Madrid (?) probably his only options.

Re: Football/Soccer general talk

by Guest » 27 Aug 2021, 18:11

Is the deal for 1 year? I thought Utd were a frontrunner for haaland next summer.

anyway I hope he flops. I'm laughing at their fans blatantly ignoring the fact he wanted to go to City but they turned him down.

Re: Football/Soccer general talk

As a United fan I'm pissed that they're bringing him back last minute but cannot organise a transfer of a proper midfielder for months. It's just business, and they're looking for profit. This sucks.

No team should be allowed to hog all those big names like PSG is doing, why is the fair play law not applying on them??
Apparently they have a way to avoid the rules and get away with the fair play.
It's pure insanity, no one can convince me they are following the law having all those stars with those salaries. The shit that club gets away with is insane. La Liga is truly dead and i'm saying this as a Real Madrid fan, who is willing to continue watching the likes of Bale and Umtiti in a classico after eras of Ronaldos, Ramos, Puyol and Messi and Ronaldinho..etc?
avoiding the rules means not following the law. So they clearly aren't fallowing the law.
