These are also new fans too (a whole lot of women) who didn’t know anything about Paige until March Madness. Even if you didn’t watch WBB you knew UConn. And her speech that one year, people started to take notice. Also, she’s physically attractive. That’s a big reason she’s getting attention.

Yeah this is true. It does feel like a lot of the sudden love for Paige from certain people comes from a place of spiting Caitlin rather than actually liking Paige.

I’m not entirely convinced it’ll be all about Paige next year though. Juju is gonna be a lot more interesting until the tournament simply because she plays in a competitive conference. Basically all of UConn’s regular season games are 20+ point blowouts. It’s hard to get people excited to watch that unless they’re already big UConn fans.

Agree. And Caitlin dominated so much of the coverage this year because of her explosive style of play with the logo 3s and just the emotion/aggressiveness she plays with. Paige’s style of play is great too but not explosive in that way

You answered your own question. She’s good looking, has charisma and her energy is a little more relatable than Clark’s. Nothing wrong with Clark but you could tell who her crowd is off the court.

DA. Yep. There was a pretty noticeable shift in the way she dresses after her injury. People just weren’t paying that much attention to her at the time. She mentioned in an interview that she “found her identity off the court” while she was recovering. She obviously figured some stuff out and became a lot more comfortable with herself than she was before the injury.

She and Cameron Brink look very similar but the energy is completely different. The TikTok girlies are in love. Some just need to stop being weird.
