I warched today two eps of that show "Dancing queens ..." and I remember now why i don't watch those SK variety/reality shows. It's just so cingry most of the time. Prefer to catch only some vids on YT.

But even so, it's kind of enjoyable, tho they need to stop asking boa to preform No1 all the time. She is clearly done with that song.

First impressions

Hyori - a fucking superstart. Knew who she was, but never really cared about her music that much. But what I saw today blew me away. She is clearly an extrovert. lol I was so impressed with her moves and all. Her voice is weak, but everything else? Whoa! I feel like she really didn't have a luck with songwriters and producer, because her discography should be bigger.

Wansun - awesome lady and probably biggest suprise. She enjoys herself so much. She is very chill and laidback. Makes really interesting comments about other ladies, while watching thier performances. She really pays attention.

Junghwa - damn, this legend is sth else. like, i heard boa named her many times as one of her idols and biggest inspirations and I totally see why. Also very funny & sweet. It's clear they are very close with Hyori.

Hwasa - she is quite peculiar, a bit shy which surprised me coz I don't follow her or her group, but always thought she has a loud personality. A bit like Jessie. I was soooo wrong about that, lol
But music wise she is good. Really good! Effortless stage presence & good dancer.

Boa - this one is weird. I don't know what SM did to her, but she has really thick walls around her and refuses to show what's inside. Only two episode so maybe she will relax a bit later on. She seems to know Hyori and Junghwa well. She is even more shy than Hwasa. I heard that her company was refusing to send her to varierty etc. because they think her personality and humour doesn't translate well. I think they were right
There was a moment in ep 2 when presenter asks her why she chose this song (No1) and she is like "oh it's a song that means so much to a lot of people" and then stops and suddenly adds: "also they told me to sing it" and the audience burts out laughing. So she is kind of like that...lol

I will watch ep 3 because they all get drunk (and I don;t think it's fake, because they legit look fucking drunk as hell), so that might be fun. The show is Hyori's baby, and she is doing really good job at trying her best for everyone there to have fun. She seems like a good egg. And is hot as shit!

Now I totally understand what junghwa meant when she said she hopes wansun can give a big hug to baby wansun and make peace with her past. Watching her perform her old songs is so much more touching now



The loneliness of idol's life is most certainly true, but I think it is a completely different kind of tragic for solo idols who were never in a group.

anywa, here story is just the worst, but it does have a happy ending - after many years she ran away from her aunt and was able to be free both in her life and in her music.

I personally really didn't like the main leads as it's another annoyingly het love triangle with typical clichés but the plot is interesting. So skip het scenes and watch for the secondary characters is my suggestion if you want to give this a go.
