Yuqi: Either a very secure straight woman or repressed and now exploring bisexuality. She hangs around other gay women, and like that other anon said, even if her song had a gotcha, she was down to pick out a song for her solo that had her singing her ass off about another woman. I know some people think it's laughing in the face of the gays, but IDK, I feel like the joke's kind of on her because it really just does sound fucking gay even if she was actually trying to no-homo herself at the end.
Soyeon: Bisexual but seems to prefer dating men. Hasn't alluded to an interest in women since releasing Oh My God but I still think she's bi.
Siyeon: She pings and has vibes + receipts. Lesbian or strongly sapphic.
Dami: She's always pinged to me but IDK her receipts.

I often forget Kepler's Yujin but I believe she's gay or at least bi. She gaybaits so much but it's too much for being het.
Also this one lesbian role, she gaybaits but it's "conscious" gaybait. Does anyone know if she ever mentioned men or something? Wore any lgbt shit or whatnot? Is it just fanservice?

Also, I hate Z*co and consider him rapey and homophobic (he was extremely so towards one of his members when Bl0ck B was still around) but the phone wasn't his. It was some other guys who got convicted and he looked through it and called it a "golden phone" then lied and said he was amazed by his contact list.

Crazy BG stans are the type of women whom you don't want to get tangled. No one can change my mind that Siyeon had a crush on Sua, she spent way too many years gushing about how attractive Sua was to anyone who'd listen for it to be entirely platonic admiration on her end. There was a reason why people genuinely believed suayeon was real back in the day and a lot of it had to do with how Siyeon acted around her rather than the fanservice.
Dami's receipts aren't that strong but imo decent enough to be taken into consideration given that they are consistent. She built her idol career partly on the premise that she needed to get close to snsd. Siyeon said Dami knows women's hearts well, she changed the lyrics of pepermint chocolate from a girl like me and a boy like you to a girl like me and a girl like you all the way back in 2017, she said she prefers concepts that target women specifically, she, like Siyeon and Yoohyeon, picks up on subtle queer cues immediately and flusters really hard around women she admires. She has done wlw special clips too (love me or leave me where she and Yoohyeon play a couple in the middle of a break up, ping pong cover with Siyeon where she takes on Dawn's parts).

Besides her pedo tendencies, I think international fans are also pissed off that she name dropped other groups, so they rather side with HYBE and dismiss any valid claims that MHJ may have.Guest wrote: ↑27 Apr 2024, 01:32Koreans being on MHJ side makes sense when you conclude they don't think she is a p3do, cause that has always been the strongest point against her character for international fans. You’re right, she is the passionate creative type that has a very strong vision, and she probably hated how they kept trying to change it. Especially since Bang gave her the impression that she would have creative control. So that’s probably one of the reasons why she wanted to create ADOR cause she thought it would give her that freedom. CEO PJW was still friendly with her at that point and helped Bang and her compromise. Not sure what her contract was before ADOR, but likely didn’t have that strict non-compete so maybe she could have walked if she wasn’t so emotionally invested in pre-NJ. If they didn’t keep on trying to mess with her creative plans, she probably wouldn’t have tried to make ADOR because if her initial goal was to be a CEO she would have created her own company before ever signing with BigHit/Hybe.

Da i just casual fan and want to say i hate hybe and bg stans are annoying as fish esp @rmy. I can't listen or watch leeserafim at all. Who debut them are brainless. Just like bt$ they just popular because of payola. Ruining music and kpop standard. What so bad about training, lazy ceo m3n. I think i can accept nj more. How many m3n mhj has to fight with in hybe? At least mhj has vision unlike that fat m3n. M3n in sk are really shitty. Corrections : 4 oldest newjeans members were preparing to debut as NJ in Source until BHS decided to scrap the project and make a new one around the 2 izone girls (fatmanbang pdnim quite obviously decided he was going to copy IVE and get his own group of 170+ girls with 2 izone members).
Hyein is the only one that was only ever in ador.
And apparently ador paid back source for the training i think one if the articles said? Anyway, the real reason gfiend disbanded is because the men with actual power at source thought getting sakura on board and flying people around to europe to recruit a girl with a pretty face and no idol training was the better investment.

Also, since you appear to be an ignorant I-fan: "China/South Korean national law does not recognize same-sex marriage or civil unions."
It's not homophobic when real people don't want to participate in your maladaptive daydream and tell you in polite terms to stop being a creep. Only a sick person who treats them like fantasy dolls would be offended by this.

Re: Korean Entertainment - Part II
Sera got close to DC in 2019 and Dami being a social butterfly hung out with her a few times. Fans jokingly started shipping them and Sera got real pissed off about it. She made a bunch of remarks about it on her Patreon and even made a comment about asking the girls how they were okay with having a large gay following. All this happened on her Patreon and was shared in the somnie discord back in 2021 so it never quite came out into the public though people had been saying she's lowkey homophobic for a while. After that she stopped receiving any PR packages from DC and stopped reacting to them. She unfollowed DC and Dami unfollowed her on insta. She reacted to multiple DC mvs recently and talked about feeling sad when she looked at them. She's also really REALLY religious and was the guest speaker at a Catholic church a while ago.Guest wrote: ↑27 Apr 2024, 14:56What happened?Guest wrote: ↑27 Apr 2024, 01:49Guest wrote: ↑26 Apr 2024, 22:23What's the consensus if any on

Re: Korean Entertainment - Part II
DC fan here and it's all just speculation for the most part. Siyeon is definitely wlw, no idea if bi or lesbian. She's really unintentionally obvious about it. And yes she has immediately shot down interest in dating and was teased about her disinterest in marriage being "because of her members" but that could just be because of her focus on her career, she has also not shown an ounce of interest in men in the past 11 years but neither has Handong who is often written off by everyone as het (though to be fair, unlike Siyeon, Dong hasn't shown any interest in women either). Dami is very sus but a lot about her can be reasonably written off as her being well aware of her audience (women) and just being a massive gg stan.Sohyun: i don't know the group well nor her but so far she gives straight, who has questioned/is questioning herself, arthoe, makes every single thing a poem type of girl.

Re: Korean Entertainment - Part II
da anons point was to counter the other person's argument that only "critics" care about NewJeans music and all critics are bought out when sites like aoty and rym have their music rated highly and those are primarily user submitted ratings. Meaning a more general public fandom of music listeners like the music too and not just because "critics" like it. Imo, these places are good for determining international fanbase interest. Similarly, Loona's music rates high on these sites but the only member really known by the general public in Korea is Chuu. And their redebut groups, especially Loossemble are starting back at the bottom performing with other nugu acts at festivals. Even during Queendom everyone knew Loona was carried hard by their international fandom interest.Guest wrote: ↑27 Apr 2024, 18:40Da you’re getting defensive because deep down you know it’s true. I agree with you on the discography part. They do really have great title tracks. Baddie was crap from start to finish... I also noticed how inconsistent they were with that aesthetic/concept. The rest of the songs on I've MINE are very much soft/cute, only Baddie gives "Girl Krush." If you're going to do it, at least do it right and COMMIT.
Re: Korean Entertainment - Part II
The music I find the most interesting of 4th gen is Aespa's, Newjeans and maybe XG. Aespa can have very mid title tracks but it's always original so I'm super hyped. But when they release good stuff, it's extremely good. Some of their songs especially bsides are my some of my favorite kpop songs, the quality is neat af (Welcome to my world, Illusion, Salty&Sweet...)
Lesserafim is a no risk group but the music is pretty good. It's mid to great. XG is very interesting, newjeans low key bores me but I like that the music isn't bland (except that last song), and the songs just sound great in general.

This HYBE/MHJ drama is shaping out to be one of the most impactful moments in Kpop and we are still in the middle of it. If HYBE doesn't find a way to win the public over again, then there will be long lasting damage on Bang Sihyuk and HYBE artists. Knetz are already digging up dirt on BTS. While on the other end MHJ will go down as an icon and NewJeans the biggest Kpop group Korea has seen since Girls Generation and Big Bang.
I don't like MHJ, but many Knetz have been discussing the difference between female creative direction and male, so many think what Bang Sihyuk does is very outdated, so hopefully this could help give more visibility to other female creatives in the industry.

Their sound and aesthetic during Love Dive and Eleven were my favorite. Girl crush isn’t their thing. Only Yujin can pull it off

Please, share the dirt. I'm only asking to hate them more.Guest wrote: ↑27 Apr 2024, 22:50This HYBE/MHJ drama is shaping out to be one of the most impactful moments in Kpop and we are still in the middle of it. And if anyone had dirt on them, share the tea! I'm tired of hearing of BTSaints on every corner of the internet.

I wasn't an IZ*One fan, thus, I never saw much of Annyeongz. I wish I liked this ship though, there's so much content for them out there.Guest wrote: ↑27 Apr 2024, 22:52Oh…I only care about AnnyeongzGuest wrote: ↑27 Apr 2024, 22:09Annyeongz is not the only IVE ship T_T I want them to give us more Wonyoung/Liz or Yujin/Rei.Guest wrote: ↑27 Apr 2024, 21:39Speaking of music, I think IVE has one of the best discographies of 4th gen. No, Yujin and Leeseo both pull it off, but the rest of the girls aren't used to it yet, or simply suit softer concepts. Girl Krush demands a lot of stage presence, sharp features, confidence and a certain attitude. It's not easy. 2NE1 did it well, BP passed, Babymonster are still babies. I think the members make or break this type of concepts.
Re: Korean Entertainment - Part II
These things never work like that, the loser lose big, but no one really wins. I can see a a sort of downfall for Hybe rep for sure in korea, but internationally things are looking bad for MHJ too. I don't think your prediction about them being bigger soon that gg or bb is accurate either. It's totally different and their popularity depends now on how MHJ manages them and how much Hybe want them at the top, they were hit with this too soon in their career, so it's a really tricky situation as a group. SK is really too good at fast trends and that's a problem here.Guest wrote: ↑27 Apr 2024, 22:50This HYBE/MHJ drama is shaping out to be one of the most impactful moments in Kpop and we are still in the middle of it. Hybe is not done yet, they might try to find another way to turn on them

da i think ive & company mastered the 'work hard and prove them wrong' mentality. they don't really respond quickly to issues but work quietly behind the scenes.Guest wrote: ↑27 Apr 2024, 21:39Speaking of music, I think IVE has one of the best discographies of 4th gen. lipsync in events? they switched to handmics the next day
can't sing? released i am and sings it live
boring perf? toured like crazy and now knows how to hype up the crowd
wy sojang thought to be ignored? apparently building a case against her
baddie promotion & roll out issue? they planned it almost perfectly now
baddie sucks? heya oriental theme & acciendo love dive 2.0
their company has the best profit distribution too. i guess the only bad thing is they're from small company and they will always have limitations - limited payola and resources
