Sorry to spark any arguments y'all and I'm definitely not trying to disparage Tae since she's easily the member of SNSD I follow the most. But being three years in to a legacy that spans 16 years, there's obviously a lot for me to learn. I knew Taeyeon could be shady and was not beyond roasting a fan. I actually love that. She's so real. But the comments to the admittedly cringey but totally sweet and harmless fan did throw me because it came across a little homophobic which then had me questioning everything as a newbie SONE because I thought Taeyeon was one of the bigger fruits after Queen Yuri of course. So I was like wtf?

You can't deny that including some dude in the inclusions of the albums was a shitty move. And you can't deny that the response she gave that fan was also shitty. I think that, It's her right to add whatever she wants in her albums and say whatever she wants to her fans, while it's our right as fans to be upset and complain about her choices BUT only between us, NEVER directly to her nor throwing hate at her. At the end of the day she's not forcing anyone to support her, if her actions are really a deal breaker, then people should move on to someone else.
To the other anon... When it comes to her friendships, there's a lot of good people that have shitty friends but because they're good people they try to give them the benefit of doubt or try to be a positive influence on them. Not saying that's the case for her bc I don't know her personally, so I can neither defend her nor blame her. I don't think it's fair to judge people based on their friends. (for the record, I hate creepchul so much)
For new sones, don't believe everything you read or see on yt/tiktok. Watch as much content as possible and form your own judgment based on that, and not only on gossip and hearsays.

My album finally arrived today lol rip. I know I'm just being a salty gay over it, but this "I needed someone to create this narrative" is...not true? Or just not done well? Looking at the photos, which in my version are ~90% only her, there are "couple" pics like photobooth shit and her head on his lap and almost kissing, etc. But we understand the simple narrative without any of that. All the "you"s in the songs and calling it "To X" tells us what we need to know. It's not a deep or unique concept. It would have been more interesting imo if he was relegated to being a shadow, like he is on the cover, or blurry or something in ALL of the pictures. Make him a real "X" and unknowable to let the audience project what they want. Using some generic model posing in pics with her (where honestly they have no chemistry) gives it a specificity that comes off strange, dull, and off-putting.

It feels like people are too focused on the hetness of it all and ignoring how mediocre the mini album was, it was really not good at all. Like to release that after INVU..yikes. And don't get me started on that embarrassing English song. Usually with Taeyeon's albums there is always a memorable really good song or more (like with INVU the whole thing was amazing) but this time it was such a rushed mid mess. It almost feels like the concept was a deliberate distraction from the level of the actual music.

I don't think this mini album is bad at all. I love All For Nothing and Fabulous keeps playing in my head for at least 3 consecutive days. Of course it all comes down to taste. I don't hear what's wrong with Fabulous? Maybe because i don't speak english it doesn't come across as embarrassing to me
I think all of us agree that there's just no way to top INVU. Taeyeon in that blue dress was chefs kiss. We all just had high expectation. To X is mid IF we compared to INVU, but if we compare it to her other mids (looking at you Weekend), it's not THAT bad.

I love that dumb song.) INVU so far is her overall masterpiece (and I think one of THEE great kpop albums, esp of the last decade), but To X is still good stuff. Overall I liked the mini album, I don't think is mediocre, I would say is decent, at least according to my taste. To. X is so damn catchy, and I really like Fabulous and All For Nothing.

My opinion, cuz you already saw Taeyeon, I'd go with one of the others. Since Odd of Love was this year, the tour next will probably just add "To X" stuff with other setlist variations. I'd love to hear "All or Nothing" live but I think I'd wait for another album cycle to have more new content.
I'd see Seohyun to hear her voice and Yoona to hear her laugh and see her dance. They're both so lovely so can't help you there lol

Hi all, wow, I suddenly recalled this forum and how much I loved to come here to discuss SNSD. I can’t believe there’s still a thread! even though it was way more active before it still feels so nostalgic to me, it’s been years. I read all pages haha and I had fun.
I’ve been a sone since 2009 and from 2011 to 2014 (bias is Seohyun) I remember coming here everyday, now I’m 30 so I mostly follow SNSD through twitter, but being here is fun.
Anyways, I wanted to participate in the harmless speculations with the POV of an old sone. At this point, I think Yuri, Taeyeon and Sunny are into girls. To me, is even easier to see after all these years. I’m still in doubt with Seo and Fany (this one mostly because of the co-dependent relationship both her and Taeyeon used to have until she left to LA).
So yeah, I don’t know where this boycrazed Taeyeon came from lol (probably trolling), but I do think she is bi. I think she actually has more receipts than Yuri (even if you don’t count Tiffany), but she also tries to compensate a lot for the GP, she has always been the one with gay panic tbh.
