In IVE, they started so high and has maintained it until I Am. They got lucky with I’ve mine. But they’re falling (as per their standards and their fans expectations) #2 and #3 is good. They should really look on other ways of promoting themselves. They’re chronically offline with the exception of Rei, their tiktoks sucks unless Rei post something cute or if Yujin does a trendy dance challenge. Being chronically offline and not parasocial in this era is a dangerous combination. Use freaking Wonyoung to your advantage and force Wonyoung and Yujin to do some content.
I think Aespa can reach number 1 but the fans should stop setting them up. They won't go over NJ or IVE any time soon, they had their Next Level moment the same way IVE had their Love Dive moment (although the latter is arguably bigger).
IVE is more like Gidle situation where they can easily bounce back the next comeback by avoiding voting giants, which is what Aespa did. They avoided the competition directly. At the end of the day, no song is doing absurdly high numbers to be considered SOTY so far, except IU songs.
Startship doesn't operate like that. They give LOTS of leeway to IVE, they don't force them to anything at all and the creative input they allow them is big. They send them to shows the girls want, they don't put them in situations the girls don't want. Yujin went to Baeksang because she wants it, I guess SSE's greed is they put IVE in too much schedule to mooch off them but that's company for you.
If WY or YJ don't want to do challenges, they won't force them. If Annyeongz don't want to do lives, they won't do it. At the end of the day, even if IVE plateaus with the GP, Starship will always make money off of Annyeongz, the gap between the 2 and the rest of the girls are too big in kr gp. If you think about it in the future too, they're set in their path. WY will always be an influencer and YJ will act. It's why even if it's understandable to be worried about IVE, it doesn't matter much because they'll always bring money either through CF or concerts.
