"Saying how the seat she'll take when in a classroom will be next to winter."
You call that flirting in all seriousness...
"Saying winter is cute whenever she breathes, her literally saying she's flirting with winter when she playfully touches her during drama performances."
I'm sorry but is Karina forbidden to even interact with Winter or you'll start having ideas and call it fanservice? If Karina is gay/bisexual and Winter is her type maybe you could say that this is proof she's into her but... flirting? She also playfully touched the other members not just Winter and called Ningning cute several times. But anyways if you think that's flirting then whatever
Jesus Christ some of you are idiots. Have you ever been flirted with before? What do you think flirting is?it's not all "I want to fuck you" type shit. Some of the times it's more lighthearted. And what are you going to say about the time she literally said she's flirting with winter when she touches her in drama performances, you casually left that out. FANSERVICE. Thank you next.

And you're missing the point moron. It's not that she's playfully touching her, it's the fact that she said she was flirting with her. That sentence alone is fanservice jeeessssusssssss
My bad I didn't read the "her saying she's flirting" part. But I disagree except for that time she said this, Winrina is a gaybait ship that fanservice flirts. They're light, pre school tier of flirting maybe.
....it's like talking to a wall...I said their flirting is fanservice

It's honestly w/e. Fanservice has been around since the beginning of time and I can enjoy SM's (girl groups') fanservice since it's all about the good vibes/closeness between members at the end of the day. It's not the outright cringe, raunchy, and gay4pay fanservice that a lot of guy groups or guy/girl groups in other countries do.
WinRina may be straight but enjoy skinship+throwing flirty lines at each other like normal friends do irl (yes, friends can jokingly flirt with each other). Or they might be bi and have been attracted to each other at one point during the long ass time they've known each other and thus we get glimpses of tension here and there
It's fine to believe in whichever scenario while acknowledging that some of the things we get to see from them are fanservice because these interactions all fall under bonding and everyone likes seeing that. And I don't think fanservice is problematic when members are actually close with each other. I think certain fans *make* it a problem when it's clear that they only like a certain idol because they want them to be 100% gay.
Like there's the group's music, the visuals, the performances, variety skills, and even just basic personality, but certain people only want to see, breathe, hear, and think through their hormones
WinRina isn't full-on gaybait to me because I think that term and the outrage that comes with it is cringe/exaggerated most of the time, and it's possible that they might just like being super touchy and interact with each other in similar degrees off-camera. If people have the understanding that it's a part of the culture and everything has a level of some fanservice if it's not kept private, then it shouldn't bother them so much. Even real couples, both famous and non-famous, do "fanservice" for the people that watch them.
I'd say gaybaiting in anime/manga (not subtext because there's a lot of depth there) is way more "real" but that's a different topic.
