Any old IZ*ONE wanna spill the deets on how Yujin and Wonyoung were during this time? I only discovered the group recently and there is so much content I still have to watch.
Very cute and playful, especially during PD48. My favourite memory of them is them getting ranked high and proceeding to hug. Yujin lifted Wony and gave her a big shake. Wonyoung was very much following Yujin around like a lite puppy at that time, doing whatever Yujin was doing (like stealing Minju’s snacks!).
In IZone they were placed in different apartments (WY was with Chaeyeon and the Japanese, the rest were in dorm 2) and so we started seeing a drop in interactions. Yujin was very much enamoured with Minju and hung out a lot more with her Unnies. And it started becoming slightly awkward. For Wonyoung’s birthday she had to stay her piece on Vlive and everyone even their Unnies were bracing for the awkwardness. They could hardly do a side hug without squealing and squirming around. But it was also this period where we started hearing them refer to each other as “soulmates”, with WY calling “YJ unnie her destiny”.
There were some gems towards the end, like them going grocery shopping together during the lockdown (YJ was acting very responsible and older sister like during this vlive), and we started hearing snippets of them hanging out off the camera more. I suspect this was when they were back at Starship getting ready for Ive.
And now of course we have the very elusive Ive Annyeongz. Where they never seem close and can’t bear skinship but let up of their closeness on occasion. WY+YJ just know each other SO well, when they’re paired it becomes obvious that they’ve known each other the longest. Like during the Human Idol Theatre episode where they were completing each other’s sentences, or Ive 123 where they won charades by a country mile. It’s funny how the rest of IVE know how awkward they are with each other and point it out for laughs.
