Ha is this what it appears to be? Is this Yongsun literally ordering Byul’s pizza the day of the concert? This is so interesting. I wonder if this is why she mentioned she got Byul dominoes. I think she would have mentioned it whether or not she was spotted by fans but it’s still funny. In my mind when I pictured her taking pizzas I assumed she had ordered them ahead of time or had the manager pick it up but of course she personally went to order it at the dominoes herself. With her cute little house slippers lol. Is that a supreme hoodie too? It doesnt technically mean anything but it’s cute she went so cozy which makes me think she really did just go to meet with her well before the show started to spend some time with her. And before the trolls even try anything this presents an interesting point which is if she didn’t go dressed to attend the show why would she have gone to deliver the pizzas herself? So either she couldn’t stay or she made a point of delivering them to spend time with Byul.

Same, I am mega confused why she just didn't attend? Put so much effort in pizzas and then decided to go back home ?

Since we are talking about this topic, am I the only one notice that byul’s face is swollen unnaturally?

I’ve noticed that since two rabbits. At first I thought it was just edema, but when I saw some concept photos of the new solo album, the face was still swollen and I couldn’t ignore that.

(I know both moonsun did lip fillers, but filling the face is another topic)
(And no I am not a troll, just curious if I am the crazy one)
Not a cosmetic procedure expert, but I m guessing girls put on weight.

For the record, I am not saying doing dermal fillers is unacceptable, but it just doesn’t work for her face (if she did)

Ok idk what it is but something is definitely different with S face(?)
for sure i see her nose doesn't have a natural shape/form and i don't mean lip fillers, but i feel like there's also something about her chin & jaw that feels different.
No hate to PS or anything but she's starting to look like every other idol out there
lmao please.
We’ve been getting unedited pics of Yong every other day for the past few months, taken from regular phone cameras from fans who aren’t fansites. Her face looks the same as it’s ever been and nothing like “every other idol out there”. If you’re using heavily edited promo pics as the base for your bullshit, then you probably shouldn’t be giving opinions on the subject to begin with. You’re either a troll, or just stupid.

Re: Mamamoo; korean girl group

I do agree her face looks different a bit but I don’t think it was plastic surgery. Simply because there wasn’t really time to recover from anything

Before the musical she was constantly filming two shows and then the musical schedule she was in public every few days. Plus before everything started she took vacation pics showing her face so I don’t think it was then and before that she was busy in the public eye

My guess is it’s something non invasive like fillers or some it has a shorter/non existent recovery period. Which is good because it isn’t permanent

I don’t hope she backs away from it though she’s gorgeous as is eek

If you're talking about the fanclub concept photos you're aware that those are edited like crazy right? Just like basically all formal photoshoots for magazines, album inclusions, anything else. Makeup does magic too.

We've been seeing Solar every few days for the last few months for her musical. I'm not sure when you think she would have gone in to get major plastic surgery during that time, and watching the videos of her from the mini fanmeetings she doesn't look that different than before to me. Certainly not "like every other idol out there."

For the pizza Byul might have simply been not feeling ok enough to eat, nerves etc before the show and didn’t want to push it. It’s not like a group concert where members take over if you’re not well it’s a solo show

And even if she was feeling better by the end of the show the pizza might have been finished off by all the staff and crew or not safe to eat anymore. Remember her show was like 3 hours plus free
I think the answer could ve simpler: abs. We know Byul and sometimes Yongsun tends to exercise before concerts to show more her abs. She wouldn't eat if she planned to do that

Also, interesting picture, Yong really went there for the pizzas lol how sweet. I think it also covers why maybe we don't have a picture, not her most presentable moment. This always happens with them, somehow, after a while you know more, not by them, but because they are so loud that can't hide. They had to reveal this meeting because fans alreado knew about it!
Da
I'm not a performer but if it were me, I definitely wouldn't eat pizza before going on stage lol. Dough foods make a lot of people bloat, not to mention it's high in fats, calories etc. And you wanna look good on stage and feel energized - especially when you're showing off your midriff

Hey thanks for the replies and tweets. I was really curious because of the styling and the prints on the clothing, since sauna wear usually tends to be super plain and one color.
Common r------- h akgae defending her more than they respect black people. Just search nigerian auntie and korean sauna and see which one looks more like Hwasa
Um I'm a Nigerian woman, my first and last name (if you knew me) would tell you. However, I didn't say I agreed with what the poster put, I just thanked them for the replies and reiterated why I was asking about the clothing. I know what traditional Nigerian/African (due to a lot of African countries clothing sharing similarities) look like. I also know what spa/sauna clothing look like based on my current S.Korea trip. What I won't do is fight on an anonymous board, for what? We're not going to agree anyways.
Sa I'm the anon who posted the tweets. I don't entirely know what I think of them myself. It's obviously not standard sauna clothing, they called it a "high-end sauna look with more care than usual" on screen and compared it to Hwasa in a more usual plain sauna outfit right before. They were clearly going for something striking and over the top especially if you look at the other women's outfits on the show too. I do think there's room to wonder if it was a direct reference to something African or if there were other influences too. Yuna the musician from Malaysia is known to wear ornate headwraps that she sometimes coordinates with vibrant outfits, there are some Filipina traditional costumes where women wear bright patterned headwraps too, just to name a couple examples I could think of off the top of my head. And yeah, like your original post suggested, there's a separate question after that over whether it was intended to make fun or somehow be a homage or something. Either way God knows Korean culture in general like a lot of cultures around the world has plenty of not so hidden racism, toward Southeast Asians in addition to Black people to be honest, and even if no one involved in picking that outfit actively intended harm the end result still could be insensitive.

For me personally since MBC called it a sauna inspired outfit on screen from the get go, before anyone called them out on it, and because as far as I can tell Hwasa didn't walk out saying something like "look how African I look", I would tend to give the benefit of the doubt that she wasn't trying to make African clothing the butt of a joke or otherwise be disrespectful. But you're of course welcome to decide for yourself how you feel about it and I'll leave the topic here. I do appreciate getting to share thoughts without name calling.
High end sauna look doesn't exist, and rich asian people tend to find these patterns tacky. Most rich asians especially koreans are super racist, if you think your normal korean is racist you're not prepared for rich koreans. Rich people had black people as slaves for a reason. That's why old money fashion doesn't scream in your face.

Homage or comedic effect. So it's blackfishing or racist cultural appropriation, none is a good look. She never apologized for it on her own and had MBC defend her name with a made up excuse. She doesn't need to say she looks african, everyone can see it, people pointed it looked weird and unnatural. Most nigerians that were not biased moomoos felt it was racist. Same as her durag. Same as her n word. All the thing she never apologized for. Let black people be mad at her for playing with our culture this way
DA I agree in letting people feel the way they do regarding the topic. You will have some Black/Africans say it was offensive and some will say they weren't bothered by it. I (the Nigerian poster a few above this one) believe in healthy discourse. It's honest convo and good convo imo.

You're fine, we were having a normal convo. Like I had posted before, I don't think it was anything racist in least, I just found it a bit skeptical for them to call it sauna wear when it looks to be anything else but sauna wear imo. But nonetheless that other poster I guess was either trolling or being difficult on purpose.

I don’t get why Byul didn’t eat the pizza though. Someone said Yong ordered 5 of them and all with sweet potato filled crusts or something. Is that why? She didn’t like the crust? I kind of felt bad when Yong mentioned Byul refused to eat it. But I hoped it was just bc she didn’t want to eat before performing. Saw someone who even hoped Byul didn’t eat it bc she felt bad Yong is dieting and couldn’t have any. I can’t make assumptions either way.
I don’t know why Byul didn’t eat the pizza but I assumed that like me she can’t eat when nervous.

DA is that really a sauna look? It just looks nothing like sauna clothing imo (basing this off the centum spa land i went to). I have no issue with other ethnicities wearing other culture's traditional wear. I'm Nigerian in South Korea for a trip and I got to wear a hanbok for the first time, great experience. Do you speak enough korean to know this? If so, pretty strange that you're still a fan of Hwasa when you should know all the racist things she's said about black people that haven't been translated.
Ma'am are you daft? Her lyrics are cringe and childish regardless of the language it was written in. Also, are you black? Cause I sure as hell am and I can point out everything the "group" has done or do you think your fav is innocent?
Hwasa has gone far beyond what the group and other members have done when it comes to racism and stereotyping but you wouldn't know that because you don't know the language and would probably make excuses for her. There are quite a few twits that are also barbs so that's the kind of idiocy we're dealing with here. Nicki loves sexual predators, Hwasa loves pretending to be a stereotype of a black woman (in her own words).
That one time she show up looking more African than my aunties :mask: twits will twist this as appreciation but this is ariana grande blackfishing level.

She wore a native headress during a fansign back in 2018 too but it was soon deleted

So jealous when MBC ENTERTAINMENT -themselves clarified hwasa was wearing a Korean sauna look nothing to do with a African dress - regardless ps I wear kaftans I’m not Arab are people not allowed to wear clothes - she also confirms she tans and likes her skin to be tan unlike traditional idols - Koreans come in all colours you are showing your own racist mentality and stereotypical views this isn’t a hwasa bashing forum if all you can criticise her on is the same baseless hate trolls from other fandoms use on Twitter just shows how fake fans are cluttered in the fandom. And someone will now call me a hakgae but go and google the crap you have written and google MBCS RESPONSE - people like you need to be sued for spreading false information about idols like hwasa
MBC apologizing for her was her being cowardly and negligent of her actions. It doesn't look anything like korean sauna look, you fooling yourself if the first thing you think wasn't traditional african wardrobe because it was closer to that than sauna look. MBC wasn't the one deciding their outfits like the other MCs came with their own outfits same as Hwasa. Koreans come in all colors is hilarious because Hwasa is fully korean and trying to be more african than my ancestors.
Also look at her intent, they dressed up as weird or crazy looking. Sauna is so common in korea, and people who met her in the elevator knew they were shooting comedic content with that look. She did that on purpose to look crazy and weird like African

Do you know if there are translations of Hwasa’s lives? I’ve read speculations of her having a dog for a year + postponing the world tour till 2025! But none of mmm translators translated her lives
She mentioned she already introduced her daughter and that's how the guessing game set on the dog being that said 'daughter'. The pic was speculated to be from a year ago or so.

Can't remember anything from the tour, but it's a given at this point that she pushed back her music again. So it makes sense.
Thank you, I thought she elaborated a bit on these. Hopefully, she releases something soon, her discography is very small :(
Ye, it's a hard year if you like her music. Complicated situation, personally I think she might be in the middle of a burn out or something similar, she's been looking a bit out of it in her latest shows and not a fan of this fanmeet tour with the same setlist she's been using for a year and more for festivals. But I guess it is what it is.

Let's hope for the best patiently.
I have been thinking the opposite maybe I’m delusional but all signs are pointing to her new album coming out soon. Her most recent performances have given me an indication she’s going for fun dance - I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I’m happy to see her go down a upbeat type of music - yes maria and I’m a b we’re dance but the lyrics were still quite sad.

I know lots of people didn’t enjoy ilmb or even somebody with loco much but I was actually pleased her dancing queens show she mentioned how she didn’t have much dance numbers. So I expect a full on pop dance but hwasa twist album. Maybe she worries about how well it will do but hope she realises it doesn’t matter

Ps have seen her interwine ilmb with chilli and Maria and I enjoy that combo on her performances - but I also like how when she does a festival she does a mamamoo set maybe you think it’s same old but it’s enjoyable to see her bring mamamoo to another country in a small format she loves the girls and mamamoo

Not too bothered about this fan tour but if it it means hearing her bsides makes me happy

Both solar and hwasa I believe need to have an album each to do a world tour

Hwasa did mention she came to 22 songs in her head as to why it became a fan concert vs a fan meet and I think we forget her mini album maria and gp mini album had altogether 10 songs including her recent singles and colabs it brings it to 24 songs I had to google lol

Solar for me is the member that needs to give us a full album I’ve loved her come backs but her albums have been 3 songs max haven’t they ? I know she’s doing other work but I would love to see her do a calm pop album showcasing her vocals

Both moonbyul and wheein are mega houses say what you want they have released a lot of music moonbyul in particular which I’m so proud of and love seeing both their tours and how they sing their songs and sets

Hwasa and Solar give us albums please and we can see your word tours next year

Bitter s weet im saying all this about each of them I just want mamamoo to have a cb in my heart sick of all the trolls they need to do a finger up at the haters

And before anyone attacks me, no I'm not calling Hwasa a racist. I'm just curious if it's really spa clothing because it really looks like a gele/headtie and a relaxed version of the women's dress.
Da there's a picture of the outfit in question here along with MBC's official response in a screenshot https://www.soompi.com/article/1415053w ... moos-hwasa

Here's a tweet showing the original subs by the TV show called it a "sauna look" even before the statement MBC issued:

And from that same twitter thread here are pictures of other Koreans with sauna headwraps:

Anyway, you can form whatever opinion you want of course. But this thread is not for bashing any of the MMM girls.
Hey thanks for the replies and tweets. I was really curious because of the styling and the prints on the clothing, since sauna wear usually tends to be super plain and one color.

I have seen in a Korean forum that Yong’s parents have been sending her to blind dates just like they have done with her sister. It seems like she has finalized with someone. My guess is the fan membership theme has to do with her upcoming wedding. She is appealing to the fans before the announcement. This will be an uproar in the fandom
I disliked the marriage theme of her fanclub, thought it was corny
I agree it is corny. But goes along with many things she does. The unibrow in AYA, the random bald head. Nothing of that makes sense. Selling Wedding ring and marriage registration to fans? That’s new level of corny
Doing anything for money at this point. Imagine how something like this will feed into saesang culture? I see why RBW must’ve been against it. It is crazy… feeding fans delusions like that will bring nothing good unless she really thought this will help them stay after she gets married. She must be scared her fans will unstan
Byul akgaes not hiding their akgaeism. Resorting to this comments despite Byul doing the most before, if she was the one who did it first no one in this thread will be saying it's corny but will just be saying it's so lesbian of her :spy:

When you're busy, every moment together is valuable and even for some people intimate. Especially with people who really loves each other, you just focus in enjoy the moment and forget everything else like taking pictures.

One of the moments that reminds me they sometimes actively build up a wall around their personal lives is when Yongsun was doing a live and Byul called her, ahe couldn't answer, but immediately asked the manager to call back like she was expecting this and couldn't wait. Literally didn't stop the recording to do it herself out of respect. And when the manager told her Byul was coming for a few min to see her she wrapped up the live in minutes.

She could've waited for Byul, they've done it in the past, but it was around a very busy time too for both of them.

I walk in, refresh, see they’re still talking to themselves, leave for the rest of the day and come back to refresh some other time. There’s nothing going on right now so I have nothing to post about. No point in reporting them anyway since the mod might just be them since they don’t delete their posts.

Anyway. This year Solarsido has started off slow with Byul mentions and appearances bc they’re both so busy.
Last year Delfi had a Byul appearance count I hope she does that again.

I think it’s interest how when they’re promoting things as a subunit or group they appear together more often but when it’s solo stuff they spend time together without us seeing it. They also spend time together without us seeing it when they’re promoting together obviously but so far this year they’ve really focused on their solo work and haven’t been showing us as many glimpses of their personal time together. We wouldn’t even know about it if it weren’t for Yong or their friends.

Why come to a group thread to rag on group members?
Attention seekers who are miserable in their real life, what you think. They really need to go to doctor or therapist.
Da
They really think they’re coming here and doing something. They probably think we’re sobbing uncontrollably because of their trolling. In reality most of us are hoping they get the help they desperately need. Also for them to gtfo and stop including us when they argue with themselves.

Moonbyul akgaes will hate anyone that defend hwasa some of you cannot stand seeing a woman as confident as her not give a F. And own herself you talk about women empowerment but hwasa intimidates some of you moonbyul akgaes
They’ve also deluded themselves into thinking she’s the most talented mmm member and tried to drag H for her dancing in my con for byul’s song when MB can’t dance to save her life , not even the supposed “foot work” heavy bg songs they swear by. Girl is stiff, sings like a dying goat, has a horrible rap flow and mediocre rap lyrics that peaked at a 4th grade level of language and composition.
You're trolling, have you ever pay attention to Hwasa’s lyrics in general? Most of her old songs suck by the way and I say this as someone who bias her. She has some moments, but overall it's not balanced at all.

The most interesting concepts/lyrics are by Yongsun. Byul is quite great to put you into interesting scenarios and has some good gems, in terms of rap she does great too. I'd say Yongsun > hyejin=Byul >> Wheein for lyrics and stories.
Lmfaoooooo out of your god damn mind with this ranking. Glad the rose colored glasses were removed from many in the fandom in the past few years cause we can clearly see the difference in talent now that they’re mostly sticking to solo and unit work
