Koreans being on MHJ side makes sense when you conclude they don't think she is a p3do, cause that has always been the strongest point against her character for international fans. Otherwise, everything she said makes sense and definitely paints HYBE as the issue.
Koreans being on MHJ side proves nothing. They also love Zico and he’s a known as a digital monster there despite being known as the golden phone. Basically filming r*pe videos on his phone. The squid game actor also won some prestigious award despite assaulting his ex

What's the consensus if any on
Sohyun (triple s)
Yuqi (gidle)
Soyeon (gidle)
Siyeon (dreamcatcher)
Dami (dreamcatcher)
Moon Sua (billlie)
Xiao Ting (kepler)
Sohyun- gives me het over zealous ally for now. But I can see her turning out to be fam. I don't follow them well enough just yet so probably there is stuff I don't know yet.

Yuqi- even the anon who brought up the stylist stuff isn't sure if anything means anything cause the only actually sus thing there was the elevator. A lot of idols do wear their stylist's clothes etc. Very confused about her.

Soyeon- agreed with others. She is bi with a male preference. Like she is sapphic enough to acknowledge she finds women attractive but will probably not date one.

Siyeon- pings through the roof in person. She is either a lesbian or bi with a very strong preference for women. Its not just vibes either, she's been caught on camera checking out women multiple times. That woman is not het.

Dami- at the very least she is bi. She doesn't ping as hard as Siyeon does but she's been changing het lyrics to make them gayer in covers since forever and Siyeon made a remark about her that she knows how to keep a woman happy or something.

Moon Sua- I would actually like to know about her too, I really like her and she has that face.

Xiao Ting- het. I disagree on her being homophobic though, maybe hetnormative. She is close to Handong and DC don't stay friends with homophobic people (eg. the Sera/DC fallout which didn't even come out of private discord chats and Sera's patreon).

Sohyun: i don't know the group well nor her but so far she gives straight, who has questioned/is questioning herself, arthoe, makes every single thing a poem type of girl.

Yuqi: bisexual. That song idgaf if it goes no homo at the end, it's a solo song i presume she chose or wrote, she could've done any other song. If it's gay fanservice it's lame. I think she's bi and maybe wishes she was more out or whatever.

Soyeon: bi

Siyeon: lesbian, i'm gonna trust dc fans + gives lesbian vibes.

Dami: no idea tbh but some people say she's gay too...

Moon sua : no idea.

Xiao ting: wow... I'd say she's straight but open minded. I don't know much of her but I know she has no problem with gay fanservice at all, but I see her more as having fun (straight) than her actually being gay
She's actually homophobic
Well prove it or shut up

I often forget Kepler's Yujin but I believe she's gay or at least bi. She gaybaits so much but it's too much for being het.
Also this one lesbian role, she gaybaits but it's "conscious" gaybait. Does anyone know if she ever mentioned men or something? Wore any lgbt shit or whatnot? Is it just fanservice?

Sohyun: IDK yet. She seems pretty fresh as potentially sus. I'd consider her one to watch potentially.

Yuqi: Either a very secure straight woman or repressed and now exploring bisexuality. She hangs around other gay women, and like that other anon said, even if her song had a gotcha, she was down to pick out a song for her solo that had her singing her ass off about another woman. I know some people think it's laughing in the face of the gays, but IDK, I feel like the joke's kind of on her because it really just does sound fucking gay even if she was actually trying to no-homo herself at the end.

Soyeon: Bisexual but seems to prefer dating men. Hasn't alluded to an interest in women since releasing Oh My God but I still think she's bi.

Siyeon: She pings and has vibes + receipts. Lesbian or strongly sapphic.

Dami: She's always pinged to me but IDK her receipts.

Moon Sua: I don't think Billie gets discussed here much, but I'd be interested to hear more about them.

Xiao Ting: Another group that doesn't get much discussion so I don't know much about their members.

DA they're both boring with weak vocals. They make boring ringtone/tiktok music. But apparently enough people love that shit.
Da. I mean that’s your opinion, I absolutely love everything newjeans has put out and I’m a very eclectic music consumer.

There’s a reason why critics love them and it for sure isn’t because they put out “boring tiktok music”, that’s your take bc you probably enjoy noisier stuff and can’t catch the nuances and references in newjeans music.
Da critics loving them means absolutely nothing. Most of them get paid by big companies to write praise about kpop groups and their music. Just like how critics aren’t allowed to write anything bad about Taylor swift
da what helps them most is simply being under hybe and thus having a broader reach. Most my friends who are into music but not super into k-pop know and like NewJeans. The marketing for them was good.

Bubble bubble part is popping in my eardrums, but I agree they should pick songs that I could easily sing a phrase or two. E.g. Super Shy and Magnetic for it to explode in charts. In terms of aesthetics I like NJ more, if that magical girl thing is her concept that would also been potential hit as people generally like supernaturals. Anyhow it's refreshing to see vintage vibe in Kpop.
da MHJ explained on that radio she did after the press conference the song isn't even their comeback. Which fans already knew that. She described what was being released as more a teaser. In comparison Super Shy and Magnetic are title track comeback/debut songs.

I mean yeah, it's my opinion, I'm not trying to change anyone's mind. I personally don't like the sound of NJ or Illit, I find it utterly boring regardless of their lyrics. I also don't like the loud music with crazy transitions that kpop loves doing as well.

Simply put, if NJ and Illit is your thing, awesome. Illit seems here to stay (and they're young so they should have a long career, I do wonder if they'll change their concept with age) , not to sure on the future of NJ though with everything going on.

I can admit I sounded like an ass in my initial post. Sorry about that.

You do support them by tuning in to their groups. At least this is just women supporting her position in a legal case, nothing to do with consuming the creative output.
Well if i support them by tuning in to their groups i won't add to this by supporting their position in a legal case, i'm not that fucking pathetic. But you do you
That's a weird response. Their legal case isn't related to the pedophilia but their creative content is inseparable from it by your reasoning, and at least the legal case is important for women which has been the point made throughout the thread.

Technically you're the one supporting her. Supporting an argument objectively is different so you're being loud and trying too hard to act morally superior over saying women can support women for no reason. A couple of you went back to bitching about the groups and members fast as hell so please stay in your lane now you admitted to not caring about this.

Sihyuk: "Big Hit has a lot of female fans because of BTS. We can't make girl group here. Because female fans might be jealous of girl groups. We have to make a girl group label. There is a team that already exists. I will buy a source music label. There is a trainee. If we use an existing trainee, we can make a debut team quickly. Creative is Min, music is Sihyuk, and management is done by the source.
I really want to comment on this quote by Sihyuk because it's a a very common misconception. "Women hate prettier women," and "Women are cruel to each other." It goes without saying that it's an self-fulfilling prophecy. If you raise girls in an ecosystem where you pit them against each other, they're inevitably going to develop hostility towards each other.

There is also this idea that women don't want to admire/cheer for/support other women. I remember this quote from Michael Jackson about Madonna when they were at similar levels of success in the industry, he said something along the lines of, "They admire you and know you are wonderful and great because they are jealous, because they wish they were in your shoes. Madonna is one of them. She is jealous. She is a girl, a woman and I think that's what bothers her...I get the fainting and adulation and she doesn't." His justification for that was that men don't faint and scream because they are too cool for that, and that women don't scream for other women... I truly enjoy how the success of female entertainers in the west. Girl groups have eclipsed boy groups once they've started targeting a female audience, and the biggest entertainers of this century are women. Girls do scream and faint at Taylor Swift's concerts.

Anyway. Women should support other women. Men are thankless.

Exactly. She's pretty either way. You didn't lose her, and at least, you got to see her in a more masculine attire. And here I am, a Wonyoung fan, still praying my stars to see her in a more androgynous fit.

I'm not terribly in tune with gen z culture, but what does it mean when a girl likes Girl in Red enough to recommend to her fans twice?
Sohyun? I'd say this is one of the biggest receipts of 4th gen but if it's not her then who?
Actually, no I wasn't talking about her. Momona, the girl I posted about the other day from the Japanese produce 101 group, ME:I, just posted on her private mail (smth like bubble) that she's listening to GIR's Girlfriend is Better; just two weeks ago she also posted that she's listening to GIR's new album, who she "likes a lot".
Ooh, sorry I scrolled past this. I might watch the show since all their songs are flawless and I was happy Cocoro got to redebut after what happened to Cherry Bullet and the other members who left with her. Girl in Red is like the thread tying sus idols together lately but this Momona saying she likes her a lot is even more obvious so you're probably right about her (and Cocoro?). Actually I always thought Ella got cut from Chebul for not "fitting in" if you get what I mean and it happened again in PIXY so maybe something similar with Coco? Why do you think they avoid anything physical on camera?
At this point its just speculation, because ME:I literally just debuted last week, but Momona's claimed numerous times about being bad with skinship (backed up by seeing her always avoiding hugs, or if she has to, doing them quickly and very perfunctory), and Cocoro very obviously having alot of respect for her even back during the show. It seems on Cocoro's part, although she's a notorious clinger and hugger, she respects Momona's personal space/bubble much more than anyone else. Add to that with Momona occasionally accepting hugs from the younger members, and even initiating back and shoulder pats, she seems especially wary of touching Cocoro. Like literally, the only times I've seen her touch her was during the show, first when Cocoro was assessed to be in A class with her, and second, during the finale after Cocoro was announced to debut. It's become a bit of an inside joke in the fandom by now, but I'm interested to see how it develops over the years, because we know they do have a close relationship from the way they speak about each other sometimes.

I'm not terribly in tune with gen z culture, but what does it mean when a girl likes Girl in Red enough to recommend to her fans twice?
Sohyun? I'd say this is one of the biggest receipts of 4th gen but if it's not her then who?
da I thought this was initially sus but hearing she thought about another member while writing it and let everyone know about that makes it a lot less sus
I get you. Some sus tripleS moments looked like basic fanservice so I'm glad I gave the group a chance because I was surprised for once. She writes songs she thinks suit the members' vibes. She's done it a few times with songs that aren't sapphic and this one does suit Naky. She didn't write it literally to her or about wanting to fuck her and wasn't saying it to tease fans or anything. She was just sharing her writing process as usual and it spread...

Are you setting her up? Watched The Handmaiden 5 times, edits herself to Girl in Red and recommends other lesbian artists or songs a lot, members suspect her but Timothy isn't helping the case for her here... 💀
Da don't know what's op's goal but she's just reading the back cover of a popular book...
I'm saying anons like to pounce on any signs someone isn't a lesbian which is why someone just called her a fujoshi. If anything it's funny she picked that up knowing most of the fans gathering around them are straight men.

I hate Hybe/Band PD and think MHJ is a creep, so I hope they both lose in some way. I don’t get people siding with either one because they’re both awful in their own ways

Baby you’re like chocolate
Sweet wrapped in foil
You’re the only one who doesn’t know
Lady, you’re that being
You color what’s around you
It’s fine, you’re perfect by yourself, yeah

Oh, I don’t know, push it on me
Just like that, towards you, push it on me
Attracting me like gravity, back
I’m heating up, to be honest my heart is young
I just dive in, no doubts

Je ne sais quoi
I wanna follow you
Your attraction
The flower of emotion called love
Je ne sais quoi
Allow my heart please
I wanna approach you
Precariously, one step

Slow down
The tempo changes, your rhythm
Tell me
This secret only we know, a nighttime dance

Others: Sihyuk was so salty that Newjeans got more popular than Sserafim.
Lchatters: BSH hates women.
What is that supposed to mean? Are you saying that man doesn't hate women? He's friends with right-wing people, he's a very typical misogynistic man, ugly as fuck, fat and only dates beautiful women younger than him. I think it's safe to say he doesn't give a fuck about women. How does this fatty have defenders on a lesbian board??
She's probably an 4rmy, they suck up to that man like crazy.
I've noticed this on twitter. It's insane how hybe has brainwashed them to defend that company no matter what. I understand defending idols but the company?? It's beyond crazy. They've created a literal army to fight for them till the end.
HYBE: Min consulted shaman for business decision including new employee selection. Min also told the shaman BTS enlisting would be better for her.

Min: It was not weird to have shaman friend.

Min: Bang chatted with her to make a group that would trample aespa together.

HYBE: HYBE did not find this worth any comment.
DA This is not how that went and it's all transcribed to read for yourself OP so no need to rely on biased secondhand sources like Twitter stans...
The first part is wrong too. She went to a shaman and therapy because HYBE kept her in the dark about important schedules and ignored her. She may have meant her shaman friend was like a therapist, someone to listen. Supposedly it's common in SK for executives to seek advice from shamans and the superstitious side isn't taken that seriously. She claimed they probably do the same and are projecting how serious it is to them onto her.

4:01 p.m “When did I ever 'ask' BTS to go to the military?” 4:03 p.m. Min turns to recent allegations that she was coached by a shaman. “I asked [the shaman] because I was just so curious. How were we to plan our steps if the company's ace team was going to the military or not? Min continues discussing her shaman friend. “I had to get therapy because of HYBE,” she said. “But if someone there listened to me — that was why I went to her. Don't you sometimes go? Don't you see the things that you've been doing? I'm sure they're making these attacks because they're worse in that way.” 4:05 p.m. Min, brandishing the remote control, addresses HYBE's leadership directly. “I asked Park Ji-won, were they not ashamed of all this? Park Ji-won answered, 'Revenge comes after success.' This means that he agreed that what they were doing was wrong. Bang Si-hyuk, aren't you ashamed of yourself?”

The only reason she got a separate label that he wouldn't let happen without a 100% stake in, and he still undermined NewJeans from the first day. She called it a slave contract and hasn't earned much. He lied to them they'd be the first HYBE girl group and sisters of BTS by debuting LSF in a rush with that casting couch teaser and photography by a predator, after she wouldn't drop her trainees and control to base the group around LSF members. It isn't just an age thing but a concept thing, like how it's awkward for children to debut with Fearless even if humping the floor suits the adults in the company stans' opinion. He suddenly told her not to promote NJ for years, so the parents thought they wouldn't make it. He hates women to his bones.
