H..is now saying it will take legal action blah blah blah, against any defamation and malicious posts about **S.

as someone wisely noticed, this is diversionary tactic, since barely anyone talks about **S in this whole fiasco. Plus, this is also an obvious attempt at having **S stans on their side.
I'm surprised °°S are still relevant at all. Haven't they disbanded three years ago? It's the equivalent of a decade in Kpop time. How come their fans are still not over those average dudes? Even if they come back, their fandom will never be as strong as it once was. Boy groups are not in vogue anymore and those guys aren't getting younger.

What a time to be on the Lchat, really. I'll need to get more tea and popcorn for the upcoming days.
I actually know how it will end : MHJ will lose her job, H... will get out of this with a tarnished reputation. But a company is potentially eternal, a human isn't. Anyway... I'm excited to watch 4h video essays about this drama in a couple of years.

MHJ really opened pandora's box. Koreans are going wild rn in the comments of OMG cause they think the video suggests Hybe has connections to a cult called Dan World which was influenced by the unification church. In one of the texts MHJ showed at the conference the execs got mad about the content of that music video and threatened to takeaway their Apple collab. Now people are connecting all this symbolism together. I'm learning things I never knew, like that BT$ can also be read as an acronym for a book from that cult :hmmm:
It's hard to summarize because even I am learning about a lot of this for the first time. But, I'd first like to start that weird lyrics like this isn't entirely new concept in K-pop. Just last year we had the whole SM controversy with Aespa and Kwangya lyrics where people were complaining about how Aespa's album had to be completely reworked and delayed because of all the subliminal messaging about the environment and planting trees being too much. They never debuted Naevis despite saying they would, and they completely cut that S*perM comeback LSM promised too. During the back and forth shareholder videos SM were releasing they were evoking the name of God and the Devil in their videos. I think all these big K-pop companies give cult vibes/religious affiliation.

Since English outlets are starting to pick this up I think the fake stuff about this will all increase and it'll be hard to determine what's conspiracy and truth.
Adding, another thing I saw was that apparently at the Apple event they threatened to take away, MHJ hired an abnormally large amount of bodyguards. Hyb3 has officially announced they are going to take legal action for defamation against BT$, so suspect more threads and videos on this to get taken down quick. (Also I recommend censoring names here just in case)

I'm not terribly in tune with gen z culture, but what does it mean when a girl likes Girl in Red enough to recommend to her fans twice?
Sohyun? I'd say this is one of the biggest receipts of 4th gen but if it's not her then who?
Actually, no I wasn't talking about her. Momona, the girl I posted about the other day from the Japanese produce 101 group, ME:I, just posted on her private mail (smth like bubble) that she's listening to GIR's Girlfriend is Better; just two weeks ago she also posted that she's listening to GIR's new album, who she "likes a lot".
Ooh, sorry I scrolled past this. I might watch the show since all their songs are flawless and I was happy Cocoro got to redebut after what happened to Cherry Bullet and the other members who left with her. Girl in Red is like the thread tying sus idols together lately but this Momona saying she likes her a lot is even more obvious so you're probably right about her (and Cocoro?). Actually I always thought Ella got cut from Chebul for not "fitting in" if you get what I mean and it happened again in PIXY so maybe something similar with Coco? Why do you think they avoid anything physical on camera?

Is it surprising tho for the rest of us who did not drink their koolaid? They’re def overrated. They were hard carry by their fans. They’re not the worst but def didn’t deserve all these accolades. They’re mid at best. But their fans made it seem as if they’re legendary when they’re nowhere close to legendary singers in the past. They are not even as good as Japanese pop stars like Utada Hikaru who don’t have their stans or bulk buying but has legit fans across the globe

Damn, the other anon was right, knetz are really coming for btsass. I kind of wish pannchoa was still there to translate all of this stuff because there's a LOT happening in Korean forums at the moment. They're accusing hybe of buying them awards and they're even pulling up proofs of how other groups should have won based on the criteria. Another popular post is accusing btsass of copying others and there's lot of proofs for that as well, they're calling it the worst plagiarism they've ever seen and are shocked how it all was buried. They're also coming for their live singing and there's some other posts about them too. Just go to theqoo and to the hot category, it's full of these discussions.
Took long enough for knetz to discover this shit. I'm not sure if other anon had talk about this before but i was that anon saying bt$ were liar. Glad to know their lies got exposed. If you noticed the pattern, it wont be that hard to see through this shit. I had said before bt$ fools their fans, hybe payola everything. Must hurt them alot. I mean fans and knetz.. But their fans would defends them, isn't it? :stupidturtle:

I’m only defensive about the payola thing, the rest I couldn’t care less if you think their music is shit. It’s your individual opinion and it changes nothing about mine.

And yes those sites, albumoftheyear especially, have weight to them just like letterboxed has for movies. It’s a collective of music nerds. If you wanna be dumb about it be dumb about it, cause at the end of the day Newjeans music isn’t basic lazy tiktok music as much as you want it to be 🤷🏽‍♀️
Da you’re getting defensive because deep down you know it’s true. Letterboxd isn’t reliable either, and especially when it comes to Kpop, none of those “critics” are objective. Heck said critics wrote praises about BP and J@min and we all know they’re the definition of mediocrity. You can like NJ music all you want but stop acting superior for doing so.
At this point you’re just yapping. If you don’t get the intrinsic value of user based sites like letterboxd and aoty I can’t even continue this conversation. “Letterboxd isn’t reliable either” You’re just coming across as extremely dumb
You were talking about critics though, now you’re talking about user based websites after I said some critics and journalists are obviously paid?
You’re just giving me the ick now cause how can’t you follow a simple conversation… I mentioned critics, those websites, the GP and other musicians and producers that react to them independently. All that contributes to prove their music isn’t lazy.
DA. God shut up already. You're so pretentious and won't let this stupid argument die without getting the last word in.

da I'm sorry but why are you acting like a couple of music rating sites for nerds are the be and end all of music opinions? New Jeans ratings on rateyourmusic aren't even much higher than Taylor's to be acting like they're untouchable. There is no objective music opinion you should stop being so defensive over someone not liking their music and pulling a "you have to have a high iq to understand New Jeans" lol

Speaking of music, I think IVE has one of the best discographies of 4th gen. I didn’t enjoy their last comeback Baddie, but this upcoming one looks promising. Please give us more Annyeongz moments :fingcross:
Annyeongz is not the only IVE ship T_T I want them to give us more Wonyoung/Liz or Yujin/Rei.
I agree with you on the discography part. They do really have great title tracks. Baddie was crap from start to finish... I also noticed how inconsistent they were with that aesthetic/concept. The rest of the songs on I've MINE are very much soft/cute, only Baddie gives "Girl Krush." If you're going to do it, at least do it right and COMMIT.
Oh…I only care about Annyeongz

Their sound and aesthetic during Love Dive and Eleven were my favorite. Girl crush isn’t their thing. Only Yujin can pull it off
I wasn't an IZ*One fan, thus, I never saw much of Annyeongz. I wish I liked this ship though, there's so much content for them out there.

No, Yujin and Leeseo both pull it off, but the rest of the girls aren't used to it yet, or simply suit softer concepts. Girl Krush demands a lot of stage presence, sharp features, confidence and a certain attitude. It's not easy. 2NE1 did it well, BP passed, Babymonster are still babies. I think the members make or break this type of concepts.
DA So much content? lol I don't think you know them well enough. Annyeongz also barely has content in their iZone era - they're much closer at first but Yujin hangs out more with her doormmates (Yena, Minju). Wonyoung strikes me as a person who doesn't really want to get close to other people tbh, she even skipped their izone reunion last year.

Although being an Annyeongz delusional fan, I think she accepts the fact that Yujin will always be beside her. She called them a package deal before and remember things about Yujin than anyone else.

For the 2nd topic, it's not that the girls aren't used to it, it's literally they can't pull it off. Remove Yujin from Baddie performance and it'll be like a bunch of awkward teens dancing. Even their Holy Moly perf, Yujin is the clear stand out. Starship should learn a thing or two and stop pushing it, they should go back to their princess theme tbh.
Da what if the Izone meeting she was busy?

It was always uneventful though, which is the big difference with illit
DA they're both boring with weak vocals. They make boring ringtone/tiktok music. But apparently enough people love that shit.
Da. I mean that’s your opinion, I absolutely love everything newjeans has put out and I’m a very eclectic music consumer.

There’s a reason why critics love them and it for sure isn’t because they put out “boring tiktok music”, that’s your take bc you probably enjoy noisier stuff and can’t catch the nuances and references in newjeans music.
Da critics loving them means absolutely nothing. Most of them get paid by big companies to write praise about kpop groups and their music. Just like how critics aren’t allowed to write anything bad about Taylor swift
This person must be living under a rock.
Critics aren't allowed to write anything bad about Taylor Swift
? When there's literally a reporter who came out recently that said they were encouraged to unfairly criticize her and her work just for engagement especially after 2016 happened.

Even just this recent album rollout all they've been writing about aren't even about her music or albums anymore but just going on and on about how she's a billionaire meanwhile Beyonce or Jay-Z doesn't get that treatment at all.

NewJeans may be paying people for payola but I doubt they pay critics because they don't care enough for that. No one takes Kpop seriously already why would they bother to have that image now?

Yujin and her BERTHAS!! FULL FRONTAL VIEWS ARE HORRIFYING and sometimes TERRIFYING.

I haven't commented in a long time but I see those yujin BERTHAS who terrorize and try to bring down others trying to make yujin more superior like it's their truth or something again.

Let's just say you're the worst kind, fat, ugly, pedophilic lesbian, min hee jin supporter due to same species relating to each other mindset

I will release more photos with my disposable unregistered devices (I have plenty) and ip addresses if you try to say more shit about others

Like I said,

Yujin is disgusted by berthas.

If you don't know what a bertha is you don't belong to the l chat.

This HYBE/MHJ drama is shaping out to be one of the most impactful moments in Kpop and we are still in the middle of it. If HYBE doesn't find a way to win the public over again, then there will be long lasting damage on Bang Sihyuk and HYBE artists. Knetz are already digging up dirt on BTS. While on the other end MHJ will go down as an icon and NewJeans the biggest Kpop group Korea has seen since Girls Generation and Big Bang.

I don't like MHJ, but many Knetz have been discussing the difference between female creative direction and male, so many think what Bang Sihyuk does is very outdated, so hopefully this could help give more visibility to other female creatives in the industry.
These things never work like that, the loser lose big, but no one really wins. I can see a a sort of downfall for Hybe rep for sure in korea, but internationally things are looking bad for MHJ too. I don't think your prediction about them being bigger soon that gg or bb is accurate either. It's totally different and their popularity depends now on how MHJ manages them and how much Hybe want them at the top, they were hit with this too soon in their career, so it's a really tricky situation as a group. SK is really too good at fast trends and that's a problem here.
da well the thing about intl fans is that they're sheep. if they see mhj being praised, intl will eventually turn too, like counter circle jerk. they're stupid like that.

da i think ive & company mastered the 'work hard and prove them wrong' mentality. they don't really respond quickly to issues but work quietly behind the scenes.

lipsync in events? they switched to handmics the next day
can't sing? released i am and sings it live
boring perf? toured like crazy and now knows how to hype up the crowd
wy sojang thought to be ignored? apparently building a case against her
baddie promotion & roll out issue? they planned it almost perfectly now
baddie sucks? heya oriental theme & acciendo love dive 2.0

their company has the best profit distribution too. i guess the only bad thing is they're from small company and they will always have limitations - limited payola and resources

Please, share the dirt. I'm only asking to hate them more.
And if anyone had dirt on them, share the tea! I'm tired of hearing of BTSaints on every corner of the internet.
